330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika. ABV is 6.5%. Golden colour, large to moderate head. Aroma and flavour of unhopped pilsener wort, cooked vegetables and baby porridge. Remarkably bad and boring. The Norwegian importer has apparently decided to import the entire Theresianer range without tasting all the beers first. This one (and the Bock) is not something I would buy again. Ever.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet (bestillingsutvalget). ABV is 4.8%. Clear pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of sweetish pilsener malts and grassy and herbal hops, hints of honey. Reminds me much of their Premium Pils. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is crisp and not too sweet, still with a nice and subtle maltiness, while the the hops are more subdued than in the Premium Pils. An easy-drinking helles.

330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5%. Pale golden colour, large white head of good retention. Decent aroma of grassy and floral Saazer hops, with a hint of honey. The flavour has also nice presence of Saaz, but there is also a pleasant malty sweetness. Overall is this a fairly well balanced pilsener, above average for the style, and very refreshing when cold.

750 ml bottle from Vinmonopolet (bestillingsutvalget), the unfiltered version of Theresianer Premium Pils. ABV is 5%. Very pale yellow colour, slightly hazy. Moderate but lasting white head. Strong aroma of grassy and herbal hops and sweetish pilsener malts. The flavour is fairly crisp and refreshing, not too sweet, with decent herbal hops again. Not bad.

The fairly sweet flavour has also notes of caramel and molasses, hints of dark dried fruits and liquorice. Too moderate hops.The alcohol is not well hidden.

Stylish 750 ml bottle, shared with Tom at Øl & Mat-festivalen, Oslo. ABV 5.1%. Cloudy golden colour, moderate white head. Typical witbier aroma and flavour, notes of coriander and orange peel, hardly any noticeable hops. A hint of diacetyl is not what I want in a witbier. Drinkable, but lacks "bite". Boring.

Medium sweet flavour, not cloying. Notes of malts, caramel, oak and bourbon, hints of dark dried fruits. Low bitterness.

Aroma of lactic acid and over-ripe raspberries. Very sour flavour, lactic acid galore, notes of over-ripe raspberries, "empty" finish. Won't buy again.

Shared bottle at RBNAG 2011 in Oslo, ABV 6.1%. Bronze colour. Well hopped aroma and flavour. This is a nice strong ale in a "typically English" style, well balanced between the malts and hops: Very good. This is a kind of beer I always appreciate - even in the course of a long tasting with lots of beers.

330 ml bottle, from Dagli’brugsen Skødstrup. ABV is 8.2%. Black colour, moderate head of good retention. Pleasant aroma of fruity hops and dark malts with some roasty notes of mild coffee, hints of caramel. Rich flavour, dark malts with some initial sweetness, then roasty coffee notes with a hint of liquorice, moderate bitterness in the finish.

330 ml bottle, probably from Dagli’brugsen Skødstrup, as Thisted Brown Ale Nr. 1. ABV is 6.9%. Ingredients include sugar, liquorice and antioxidants E300 and E223. Very dark brown to ruby colour, large and creamy tan head. Very malty aroma with strong notes of caramel. The flavour is also very malty, notes of caramel and liquorice, hints of mild Christmas spices. Very modest bitterness.

Aroma of birch sap / birch leaves, pine needles and sprucetips, a hint of bog myrtle / sweet gale. The flavour is moderately citric and medium sweet, with the same elements as the aroma. Interesting beer, without hops.

Aroma of sweetish malts, sea buckthorn berries and sweet gale / bog myrtle. The flavour is not as sweet as the aroma made me fear, fruity notes of sea buckthorn berries, fairly distinct notes of bog myrtle, minimal bitterness (hops are not on the ingredients list).

500 ml bottle, from Dagli'brugsen Helgenæs. ABV is 7.4%. Clear reddish brown colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Aroma of malts, brown bread and caramel. Malty flavour too, distinct caramel sweetness but not too much, moderate herbal hops and a little alcohol in the finish. A faint hint of smoke.

330 ml bottle, probably from Dagli’brugsen Skødstrup. ABV is 7.6%. Copper colour, large head with an orangey hue. The fairly strong aroma is fruity, mixed with distinct notes of caramel malts. The flavour is malty and rather sweet with plenty of caramel, the alcohol is noticeable. Bitter hops in the finish, becomes slightly metallic in the aftertaste.
