April 2014: 330 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. Hazy golden colour, large white head. Strong aroma of mango and orange peel. Mango and orange peel in the flavour too, but the beer is not very sweet. Spicy and hoppy finish, bitter aftertaste.

At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Hazy deep golden colour. Strong and pleasant aroma of American hops (Warrior, Simcoe and Centennial), fruity and piney notes. The flavour is also dominated by said fruity hops, but is not too extreme. Noticeable malts with a little caramel balance the flavour nicely. Very good!

June 2013: Shared 375 ml bottle, thanks to Ole Anders. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Strong roasty aroma of coffee and wood, a hint of ashes. Even more distinct roasty and coffee notes in the flavour, quite dry, woody and ashy.

Very dry and ashy flavour first, not very good coffee, a little sweetness in the finish. Not my cup of tea / coffee / beer.

Dry flavour, notes of resinous hops, grapefruit and hints of tropical fruits. Oct. 2022: 330 ml can, 2022, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Hop varieties are not mentioned on the can. Dirty yellow colour, large to moderate white head. Distinct aroma of yellow stonefruits and tropical fruits. Fizzy, citric and thin mouthfeel. Citric and slightly spicy flavour, one-dimensional.

Feb. 2014: 330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.4%. Slightly hazy deep golden colour, large white head. Aroma of brettanomyces, barnyard, dust and some spice. Moderate carbonation in the mouth. The flavour is not too sweet, but not dry either. Not sour (which I expected, as they have used brettanomyces lambicus). Yeasty notes, and a sharp hoppy bite in the finish and aftertaste. Not really great in my book, To Øl have better beers than this.

Strong smoky aroma, notes of smoked meat and bonfires, also some moderate roasty notes in the background. The flavour is surprisingly mild, smoky notes of course, but not extreme. Very moderate roastiness, quite dry, too modest hops. Hints of acidity throughout. Easy drinking.

Very nice fruity and spicy aroma. The flavour is dry and spicy with a certain acidity. Light bodied for its strength. ~
