Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 500 ml bottle, as Schneider Weisse Tap 4 Mein Grünes, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Brewed with organic ingredients. ABV is 6.2%. Hazy brownish golden colour, big head, slightly off-white. Strong and lovely aroma of ripe bananas and cloves. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is reasonably malty for a hefeweizen, with distinct notes of cloves. Very moderate hops. The alcohol is well hidden. Good beer. |

5752 | Schneider Weisse Aventinus Weizen-Eisbock | Germany | Eisbock | 4.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 11.2 fl. oz. bottle, bought in Denmark. Bottle number 054113. Pours murky brown with sediment / floaties, enormous head that soon subsides. Delightful intense aroma of yeast, over-ripe bananas, brown sugar, caramel, treacle, oak, alcohol and spices. Flavour is very powerful, malty and sweet with plenty of brown sugar, oak and spices, and a tremendous alcoholic punch. I guess I’d prefer the ordinary Aventinus on a regular basis, but the Weizen-Eisbock is definitely a treat for the dark winter nights, or whenever you want to satisfy your sweet tooth. |

5753 | Schneider Weisse LaBrassBanda Love Beer Weissbier | Germany | Hefeweizen | 4.0
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 4.9%. Depending on the light, the hazy colour goes from golden to orange to pale brown. Moderate white head. Pleasant sweetish and wheaty aroma, notes of flowers, oranges, banana and cloves. Smooth mouthfeel. Refreshing wheaty flavour, again notes of oranges, banana and cloves, a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. |

Lovely weissbier aroma, plenty of cloves, some banana too but not as much as in some other hefes. Cloves also in the flavour, which is light bodied, refreshing and not too sweet. 5755 | Schneider Weisse Tap 2: Kristall | Germany | Krystal Weizen | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, as Schneider Weisse Tap 2 Mein Kristall, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 5.3%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly distinct aroma of banana and cloves, also notes of hay. The flavour is fairly dry for a wheat beer, with some citrus and cloves, hints of banana, but rather bland compared to the brewery’s hefeweizens. |

5756 | Schneider Weisse Tap 3: Alkoholfrei | Germany | Reduced Alcohol | 2.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml bottle, as Schneider Weisse Tap 3 Mein Alkoholfreies, from MENY Stadionparken. Hazy brownish golden colour, huge off-white head. The aroma has some of the usual n/a beer character of baby porridge and over-boiled vegetables, but also some wheaty notes with hints of cloves and citrus. Thin mouthfeel. Dry flavour with some hints of citrus - boring and uninteresting, but if you need a n/a beer, it is not undrinkable. |

5759 | Schneider Weisse Tap 6 Unser Aventinus | Germany | Doppelbock | 4.7
Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 10 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 (Bottle). Theoretically I might encounter a better Weizen than this one, but I doubt very much that will ever happen. Murky brown colour, large head, aroma of Paradise: Cloves and other undefinable spices, dried fruits (figs), oak and sandalwood. Oaky cloves flavour with hints of burnt caramel. Alcohol is present, but not overwhelmingly so. Dry aftertaste. This is a thoroughly well made beer! (Thanks, joss!) |

5771 | Schous Juleklassiker (klasse D) | Norway | Vienna / Amber Lager | 2.5
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 (330 ml bottle). Allegedly another "Christmas classic" from one of the many breweries Ringnes has bought and closed. This beer has a rather weak aroma, acidic and slightly malty with just a hint of caramel and oak. Even for a "klasse D" Yule beer this one has a weak and watery flavour and thin mouthfeel. Little aftertaste. Very disappointing. |
