355 ml can, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.5%. Pitch black colour, moderate chocolate brown head. Nice aroma of roasted malts / roasted barley, chocolate, coffee and bakery. Intense flavour of malts (malty sweetness + heavily roasted malts/barley), notes of strong coffee, molasses and dark bitter chocolate, ending in a distinct bitterness (both from the hops - 98 IBU - and the roastiness). Possibly the most awesome canned beer in the world.

355 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 7.0%. Hazy yellow colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of citrus (incl. some orange marmalade) and piney hops. The flavour is grapefruity and quite bitter. Not bad at all, but a bit one-dimensional.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11.4%. Moderately hazy reddish brown colour, no head. Aroma of fusel alcohols, molasses, oak and mediocre whiskey, a hint of vomit. Very moderate carbonation. Very oaky / woody and alcoholic flavour, not very sweet, with an unexpected sharp and unpleasant bitterness in the finish, totally unbalanced. Whatever they have been trying to accomplish here, it is very poorly executed. Drainpour - what a waste of money!

The flavour is fairly complex, malty and slightly yeasty with notes of caramel, also distinct citric, spicy, piney and earthy hops.

330 ml can, from Gulating ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Clear and beautiful chestnut to mahogany colour, large off-white to beige head. Distinct aroma of caramel and brown bread with dark syrup, also notes of mild Christmas spices and nuts. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, but is not too sweet. Low bitterness. A nice dunkel - not a bock with this ABV.

Citric flavour, also notes of yellow stonefruits and tropical fruits, some piney notes in the finish, the bitterness is moderate to low.

330 ml can, on my flight with Norwegian from London Gatwick to Stavanger. Allegedly "specially brewed" for this airline. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, large white head. Typical dry-ish session IPA with American hops in aroma and flavour, tolerable bitterness - not bad, but oh so predictable. There are just too many of these "session IPAs" on the market. One-dimensional, but clearly drinkable.

Aroma of pineapple, papaya, lychee and other tropical fruits, also a hint of spruce. The flavour is citric, also with notes of tropical fruits and sprucetips, but not too sweet. Low bitterness. Refreshing and enjoyable.

330 ml can, as Oslo Brewing Co. Fjord og Fjell Pale Ale (Pale Ale has been added to the label as a sticker). From Vinmonopolet, possibly Stavanger Herbarium. ABV is 5.6%. Hazy murky yellow to orange colour, moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of citric hops, distinct notes of oranges, hints of sprucetips. Citric hops in the flavour too, on a decent malty base, but not too sweet. A moderate piney bitterness in the finish. Better than I expected - a nice surprise.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.5%. Slightly hazy amber to reddish brown colour, large white head. Malty aroma, notes of toffee and brown bread with syrup, distinct notes of coffee. Flavour of mild coffee, malts, toffee and caramel, not too sweet, a hint of dried dates. Very moderate hops. I was skeptical to adding coffee to an altbier, but it has been done with moderation, so the beer stands forth as pretty well balanced.

November 2020: 500 ml can, from Holdbart, Klepp. Brewed at Arendals Bryggeri for Oslo Brewing Co. ABV is 4.7%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma, grassy notes. Citric flavour, quite crisp despite some residual sweetness. Moderate herbal hops in the finish. Better than I feared.

On tap at Oslo Mikrobryggeri, as Amber X. Beautiful chestnut colour. Malty and nutty aroma and flavour, also notes of toffee and caramel. A very nice and drinkable beer.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy deep copper coloured beer, low head. Diacetyl and some vinegar in both aroma and flavour. I did not like it at all. Should never have been for sale - if the brewers want to destroy their own good reputation, this is the way to do it.
