4826 | Oakham Harlequin | United Kingdom | Blonde Ale | 4.1
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 Cask conditioned at the 32nd Cambridge Beer Festival, gravity dispense. ABV was listed as 4.9%. The brewery website does not mention the ABV, it might vary. This is another lovely citrussy golden ale from Oakham, a style which seems to be their specialty. Golden colour, low head. Plenty of citrus, tropical fruits and honey in the aroma. Flavour has some citrus, but also some of the dusty hoppiness you’ll find in many Southern English ales. |

4830 | Oberdorfer Weissbier. | Germany | Hefeweizen | 3.5
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml swingtop bottle, bought in Spain. ABV is 5.0%. Cloudy pale golden colour, large white head. The aroma is first dusty and grainy, then the typical hefeweizen features (cloves and banana) come through. The medium dry flavour has also some grainy notes, moderate notes of cloves, an apple-like acidity in the finish. Like most hefeweizens it is refreshing and fairly nice to drink - but not the best example of the style. |

4832 | Obolon Oksamytove | Ukraine | Vienna / Amber Lager | 3.5
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml green bottle, a gift from my son Steinar, bought in Poland. ABV is 5.3%. Dark brown colour, big to moderate beige head. Rather boring aroma of malts and brown bread with some "boiled" notes, hints of caramel. Fairly nice flavour of malts with notes of rye bread and lots of caramel, but the beer is not too sweet. A hint of burnt malts and burnt sugar in the finish, with very moderate but noticeable hops. A pleasant dunkel to drink. |

4841 | Ödmans Tjeckopilsner | Sweden | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 2.8
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 On tap at Pannrummet. Golden colour, moderate head. Moderate grassy and floral aroma, some strange sidenotes of sweat too. Reasonably hoppy flavour, on a diffuse and somehow "unclean" background of malts and saltiness. Possibly not the right brewing water quality for a pilsener? |

4842 | Oettinger Export | Germany | Helles / Dortmunder | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml can, bought in Spain. ABV is 5.4%. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, big white head. Sweetish aroma, some malts and floral hops. Fairly sweet flavour, tolerably balanced with the hops, the alcohol is noticeable though. Still better than I feared, easy drinking when cold. |

4843 | Oettinger Pils | Germany | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 2.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml can, bought in Spain. ABV is 4.7%. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, big to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma, notes of candy, some floral and grassy notes too. The flavour is too sweet for a German pils, some artificial "candy" notes, but the beer is still drinkable. A little bitterness in the finish. Not something I’ll buy again, though. |

4845 | Oggi's Hop Juice | United States | Imperial IPA | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 1 pt. 6 fl. oz. bottle, as Left Coast’s Hop Juice Double IPA, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.4%. Deep golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Strong aroma of fruity and resinous hops, notes of orange marmalade. The medium sweet flavour has intense hops from start to finish, as expected. Notes of resin, pine needles and bitter oranges. Bitter and sharp aftertaste, of course - and the alcohol is not well hidden. |

4846 | OHanlons Brewers Special Reserve | United Kingdom | English Barleywine | 3.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 250 ml bottle conditioned, 2010 Vintage, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 12.9%. Cloudy brown colour, minimal beige head, minimal carbonation. Intense and extremely malty and sweetish aroma, notes of oak, and molasses, hints of dark dried fruits. Warming mouthfeel. Intense flavour, strong notes of molasses, oak and extremely thick malt extract, also notes of cough syrup, liquorice and cigar tobacco. Some hoppy biterness in the finish. This a beer that probably requires 5 - 10 years’ cellaring to (hopefully) obtain a rounded and harmonious character. As "raw" as it is now, it is just too extreme. |

4847 | OHanlons Goldblade | United Kingdom | Bitter | 3.9
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 Rerate, 500 ml bottle, thanks to oh6gdx (I forgot that I had rated it previously!). Bottle conditioned, ABV is 4.0%. Hazy pale golden colour, huge white head. Lovely aroma, wheaty with notes of tropical fruits and cloves. The flavour is also wheaty, citric and very refreshing, moderate notes of cloves. I’m upping it a few points. Original rating: Bottle, at RBESG 2007 in Glasgow, Grand Tasting. Called a "traditional wheat beer". Hazy golden colour, decent head. Wheaty / hefeweizen aroma and flavour, cloves. This is indeed a wheat beer and not a "bitter" IMO. |
