452 | Askheimer Bubble B Sparkling Raspberry Birch Mead | Norway | Mead | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 750 ml bottle, vintage 2021, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 10%. Clear orange to pink-ish red colour, pours sparkling with a large but shortlived head. Distinct aroma of raspberries, honey and birch sap in the background. The flavour has distinct honey sweetness, again with strong notes of raspberries, hints of birch sap. Probably well made, but I find it hard to decide how much I really like this product - which means that I won't buy it again. |

457 | Aspall Medium Dry Suffolk Cyder | United Kingdom | Cider | 2.7
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml capped bottle, from Bunnpris Gourmet Middelthon. ABV is 4.6%. Extremely pale yellow colour, pours fizzy with a white head that actually lasts a while. Strong aroma of oxidised cider apples, notes of sulphites and oak. Medium dry (or medium sweet, if you like) flavour of cider apples, with some less pleasant sourish and "artificial" notes. Thin mouthfeel. Hints of sulphites and oak. Drinkable, but clearly not Aspall’s best cider. |

462 | Atlas Latitude | United Kingdom | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, as Atlas Latitude Highland Pilsner, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 3.9%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, big and lasting white head. Moderate but pleasant aroma of Styrian Goldings (+ Saazer and Hallertauer Hersbrücker) hops, citrussy and floral notes. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is more like a golden ale than the "pilsner" it claims to be - which is not a bad thing for me. Distinct hops throughout, balanced by just the right sweetness. Some fruit and a lovely bitterness, lasting through the long aftertaste. A nice little beer this one. |

466 | Atna Engelsk Lys | Norway | English Pale Ale | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal, Stavanger. Cloudy honey coloured, minimal head. Intense flowery / honey aroma, very nice. Moderate carbonation. Mellow and well rounded flavour, honey notes, moderate yeastiness. Pleasant beer, easy drinking, but a little more hops wouldn’t hurt. |

468 | Atna Hjemmepåske-øl | Norway | Amber Ale | 3.8
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 330 ml green bottle, ABV is 4.7%. A trade with Ole_R, thanks! Batch #47 from Atna. This is an ale brewed with 5 different types of malts, hopped with Amarillo a.o. Copper coloured, hazy, decent head. Moderate but pleasant fruity aroma, notes of raspberries, hints of oak, brown sugar and spices. The flavour is malty and fruity, soft and pleasant mouthfeel, decent hops in the finish. I like it! (The best I’ve had from Atna so far - haven’t had their Christmas beer, though.) |

469 | Atna Hveteøl | Norway | Hefeweizen | 3.6
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, Vinmonopolet. Typical hefeweizen appearance, cloudy golden colour, large head. Lovely h.w. aroma, cloves and ripe bananas abound, hints of leather, wood and ammonium. Soft flavour and mouthfeel, I want a litlle more "spritziness" from a h.w., but this is still a drinkable beer. Too expensive compared to other h.w.s available in Norway. |

470 | Atna Julenisjeøl | Norway | English Strong Ale | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Brown colour, decent head. The aroma is caramel, caramel and some butterscotch - and caramel again. The flavour is caramel first, and caramel in the finish - and, if you you are in doubt: also caramel (and butterscotch) in the middle. For good measure, you get caramel in the aftertaste too. If this leads you to think that the beer is cloyingly sweet, it is not - it just has this caramel flavour throughout. Lucky me - I happen to like caramel ... |

472 | Atna Økologisk Export | Norway | Strong Lager | 3.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330 ml green bottle, Vinmonopolet. Batch # 13, bottling # 2. Organic, bottle conditioned, unfiltered and unpasteurized. A traditional Norwegian "Export" is a golden Euro strong lager or pale bock - this one is the first I’ve had that is not filtered & pasteurized. Pours muddy golden brown with a decent head. Okay grassy and hoppy aroma, some fruity notes too. Flavour is yeasty and slightly spicy with decent hops, but also some strange and sweetish alcoholic notes in the finish. Worth a try, but not worth the price. |

473 | Atna Økologisk Pils | Norway | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, bought at Ole Simon, Sandnes. Batch # 22. Unfiltered, unpasteurised and bottle conditioned organic pilsener (doesn’t that make it a Kellerbier?). Cloudy brownish golden colour (would probably be clearer if the sediments hadn’t been disturbed through transport). Moderate white head. Moderate sweetish aroma, some fruit, some aromatic hops, hints of leather and wet cardboard. Flavour is tolerably hoppy on a decent malty base, hints of citrus. Moderate carbonation. Acidic finish. No masterpiece, but not bad either. |

474 | Atna Øl Brun | Norway | Belgian Ale | 3.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, from distributor Strag. ABV is 6.3%. Introduced at Ølfestivalen Nærbø. Quite a bit of sediment in the bottle, some chunks / floaties in the glass. Cloudy brown colour, moderate off-white head. Sourish aroma of Belgian ale yeast, wood and a possible infection? Moderate carbonation in the glass, soft mouthfeel. The flavour is much better than the aroma - malty and bready with hints of brown kandij sugar and some wood, but is not very sweet. Does not taste infected. Decent hops in the finish. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 330 ml brown bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Unfiltered and unpasteurised pilsener (or rather: Kellerbier), brewed with organic ingredients. Cloudy golden colour, moderate white head. The aroma is yeasty, fresh and fruity, notes of citrus and apples, hints of spices. The flavour has also fruity notes with hints of yeast and spices, ending in a bitter finish. Not too bad. |
