3726 | Kronenbourg 1664 4.5% (Norway) | Norway | Pale Lager | 3.0
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml can, from Rema 1000, Tau. ABV is 4.5% (which is a considerable difference from the original and international French-brewed version at 5.5%). Brewed in Denmark, and distributed by Ringnes AS. Clear golden colour, moderate white head. Strong sweetish malty and grassy aroma. The mouthfeel is slightly citric. Medium sweet pilsener flavour, with fairly decent grassy and herbal hops in the finish. |

3727 | Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc | France | Witbier | 3.3
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 300 ml white painted bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. Colour is typical wit: Hazy, very pale straw coloured. Moderate head. Strong aroma of coriander, yeast and some citrus, and if I’m unkind: even some notes of perfumed shampoo and hints of vomit. Flavour is VERY citrussy / LEMONY, notes of coriander too. A bit too lemony for me, but definitely a refreshing beer for hot summer days. Just a faint bitterness in the aftertaste. The chicks might like it! |

3730 | Kronenbourg 1664 Rosé | France | Fruit Beer | 2.5
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 5 330 ml cobalt blue bottle, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4.5%. Ancient pink colour, moderate to small off-white head. Aroma of artificial and unfresh real "fruits of the forest" blends. The flavour is somewhat fresher and better, notes of lemons, lactic acid and berries. Dull finish, low bitterness. Won't buy again. |

3732 | Kronenbourg Maître Kanter La Réserve | France | Strong Lager | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 650 ml swingtop bottle, bought in France. Called a "bière blonde" on the bottle, not a "bière de garde". Golden colour, large head. Moderate yeasty and fruity aroma. Tastes like a well-balanced golden strong lager, pleasant sweetness, tolerable hops. La Réserve may not be a true masterpiece, but I’m still surprised that this very drinkable beer has that many low ratings on other websites. |

3733 | Krune Sider (Crown Cider) | Norway | Cider | 2.7
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 750 ml corked "champagne" bottle. Vintage 2003. As far as I know, this is the only commercially produced craft cider from Norway (the other Norwegian "ciders" are more or less industrial alcopops made with a little apple or pear juice). Very expensive (NOK 145 at Vinmonopolet). Pours very fizzy (strong natural carbonation), no lasting head, carbonation dies out quickly. Pale yellow colour. Aroma of fresh and fermenting apples, notes of oak and apple cider vinegar. Flavour is sweet (too sweet) and alcoholic, notes of oak and vinegar, hints of spices. One small glass is enough. Apparently the 3 apple varieties used (Aroma, Gravenstein and Torstein, all good to eat) are not ideal for cider production. Overall disappointing. Will not buy again. |

3734 | Krusovice Cerne | Czech Republic | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 4.4
Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8 Draught in Prague, called Krusovice Vycepni Tmavé on the menu, but must be the same beer. Black (= very dark brown) colour, large head. Lovely malty aroma with strong elements of leather and cigarbox. Pleasant flavour of roasted malts, some caramel but not too sweet, very well balanced with the hops. For the style freaks: This is a Schwarzbier IMO, not a dunkel - but who cares, as long as the beer tastes good? I’d think the ABV was stronger than it actually is - another evidence that flavour and strength are not necessarily the same thing. Great with food or on its own. A truly enjoyable beer. Rerate bottle: I just realised I had written separate notes of the BOTTLED beer named Krusovice Cerne - I could SWEAR it was a different beer from the draught Vycepni Tmave. Notes bottle: Deep reddish brown colour. Large tan head, moderate carbonation. Moderate malty aroma. Typical dunkel flavour with low bitterness. Relatively light bodied, refreshing. Overall 13/20. |

3735 | Krušovice Imperial | Czech Republic | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 500 ml can, bought in Prague. Golden colour, large thick head. Hoppy and fruity aroma, some flowers there too. Flavour is pleasantly balanced between the malts and hops - both elements are present and plentiful to a much greater degree than many other so called "pilseners". Nice. |

3736 | Krusovice Jubilejni Ležák Extra Horký | Czech Republic | Lager | 3.6
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, my wife bought this one for me in Prague. Golden colour, large and lasting head, looks slightly off-white. Moderate carbonation, which I like. Aroma is somewhat sweetish, with grassy and flowery aromatic hops. Nice hoppy bitterness in the flavour and aftertaste, but EXTRA bitter? Not more than you expect from a decent Czech golden lager. Still a lager well above average, as far as lagers go. |

Very dark brown to black colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of Schwarzbrot and lightly roasted malts. Flavour with the same elements, not too sweet, hints of roasted nuts, very moderate hops. |

3740 | Kuchlbauer Weisse | Germany | Hefeweizen | 3.6
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, bought in Bier Spezi Hamburg. Hazy orange colour, pours with the typical hefeweizen enormous head. Spicy aroma (cloves and more), hints of leather and ammonium too. Typical hefeweizen flavour but not quite as full as I desired. Rather dry, minimal hops. Fizzy and slightly dusty mouthfeel. Decent, but not the best h.w. I’ve had. |

3741 | Kuda Putih | Indonesia | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 620 ml green bottle, in Bali. ABV is 4.5%. Pale yellow colour, low white head. Typical green bottle "skunky" pale lager aroma, but not too bad. Some sweetish malty and grassy notes. The flavour is bland as expected, but not horrid. At least there is a hint of malts and hops, and it is not sugary sweet. Ice cold it may serve as a thirstquencher in the Indonesian heat. |

3742 | Kulmbacher Edelherb Pils | Germany | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.3
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 (5 liter minikeg, bought in Norway - ABV here is 4.5%. The ABV in Germany is supposed to be 4.9%. I think "Kulmbacher Premium Pils" is an alias of this beer. Not be be confused with the Kulmbacher Mönchshof Original). Typical pils golden colour, large head. Hoppy but not very strong aroma. Flavour is surprisingly malty, slightly sweeter and less crisp than the somewhat stronger EKU Pilsner which I prefer (also in a minikeg). Still, this is a rather tasty pilsener, miles ahead of the many tasteless "neutral" pilseners you get these days. |

3743 | Kulmbacher Eisbock | Germany | Eisbock | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 (330 ml bottle). ABV of my bottle was 9,2%. Nearly black (= dark ruby when held to the light), good to moderate creamy tan head. Started drinking it too cold, surprisingly weak initial aroma, improves as the beer warms up - malty, but not very complex. Flavour is malty sweet with burnt notes - not nearly as cloying as EKU 28 (thank God!) but also less complex. Alcohol is well hidden. OKish mellow aftertaste. Good beer, but it doesn't exactly take my breath away. |

3744 | Kulmbacher Festbier | Germany | Marzen / Oktoberfest | 3.3
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget). ABV is 5.6%. Golden colour, large to moderate white head. Nice grassy aroma of aromatic hops (in America it would probably be known as "skunky", sic), some flowery notes too, hints of honey. Easy drinking, the pale malts are fairly well balanced with the moderate hops, some alcoholic sweetness. Does not carry its 5.6% supremely, but this is another OKish German beer - not one I’ll search out again, though. |

3745 | Kulmbacher Gold | Germany | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 4 330 ml clear bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet). Pale golden colour, decent head. The "skunky" whiff when opening the bottle is actually the best thing with this beer - the longer lasting aroma is sweetish and grassy, notes of maize (corn) even though this is a Reinheitsgebot beer. Flavour is very bland, just a little maize-like sweetness and minimal hops. Kulmbacher have obviously been tempted to produce a beer for the younger crowd of swill drinkers, people who really don’t like the taste of beer at all. Shame on you, Kulmbacher - you can do so much better than this! |

3746 | Kulmbacher Mönchshof Bockbier | Germany | Bock | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml swingtop bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget). ABV is 6.9%. Orange to amber colour, large off-white head with an orange hue. Moderate aroma of malts, some fruity hops and bakery, notes of alcohol. Flavour is fairly malty and bready, some caramel sweetness, alcohol is evident but not too much. Some hoppy bitteness and slightly burnt notes in the finish. OKish, but not my favourite bock. |

3747 | Kulmbacher Mönchshof Kellerbier | Germany | Kellerbier | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml swingtop bottle, bought at Rewe Getränkemarkt, Erding. ABV is 5.4%. Brownish golden colour, big head, slightly off-white. Bready aroma, hints of caramel, lightly toasted malts and grassy and herbal hops. Soft and mellow mouthfeel. The flavour has a decent presence of malts, a hint of caramel and very moderate hops. Easy drinking, not a great beer, but nice enough. |

3748 | Kulmbacher Mönchshof Maingold Landbier | Germany | Kellerbier | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml swingtop bottle, from Rewe Getränkemarkt, Erding. ABV is 5.4%. Very pale yellow colour, big to moderate white head. Fairly nice sweetish aroma of pilsener malts and grassy hops. Light bodied. The flavour has some malty sweetness and moderate German hops in the finish - nothing remarkable here, but still a fairly well made and drinkable beer. |

3749 | Kulmbacher Monchshof Schwarzbier | Germany | Schwarzbier | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Sure it's black - but when I feel like anything black, I'd most likely go for any dry or imperial stout instead, any time - if given the choice. As far as German Schwarzbiers go, there are tastier ones around than this one. Disappointing lack of flavour and 'bite'. Of course it's drinkable, but I expected more. |

3750 | Kulmbacher Mönchshof Weihnachtsbier | Germany | Marzen / Oktoberfest | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Christmas seasonal, 500 ml cool swingtop bottle. Aroma like an average lager, rather weak. Golden colour, good to moderate head. Flavour is well balanced with a herbal character, moderate sweetness and decent hops. Flavour and aftertaste is better than the average lager, but this is definitely not what I want for CHRISTMAS! As a standard lager it passes the test, as a Christmas beer it fails! |
