3305 | Hornbeer Sourhorn | Denmark | Wild Ale | 3.3
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6%. Reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Pleasant aroma of red wine, red wine vinegar, oak and farmhouse. The flavour is indeed sour, but not extreme. Notes of malts, red wine vinegar and oak - but unfortunately with a bit too much malty sweetness for my taste. The aftertaste is fairly dry though. |

3307 | Höss Doppel-Hirsh / Hoss Doppel-Hirsch | Germany | Doppelbock | 4.0
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 500 ml swingtop bottle, bought in Bier Spezi Hamburg. Chestnut coloured, decent light tan head. Rich malty aroma with notes of moderate roastiness, caramel, marzipan and bakery, hints of red fruits. Flavour is malty sweet but not overdone, notes of caramel and dark bread, but a decent hoppy bitterness in the finish makes it very drinkable and moreish. Good beer! |

3309 | Höss Holzar-Bier / Hoss Holzar-Bier | Germany | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 4.0
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 500 ml swingtop bottle, bought in Bier Spezi Hamburg. Brown colour, large off-white head. Malty and fruity sweet aroma (raisins), some caramel and spices too. Pleasant flavour with vinous notes, hints of oak, malts are well balanced with the hops. I won’t need wood cutting as an excuse to drink this beer. Very nice! |

3310 | Höss Neuschwansteiner Das Echte / Hoss Neuschwansteiner Das Echte | Germany | Helles / Dortmunder | 3.3
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 2 liter mock ceramic (glass, actually) swingtop siphon ("growler"), as "Neuschwansteiner Das Echte", bought at Ole Simon, Sandnes, Norway. Pale golden colour, a faint haziness. Large to moderate head. Pleasant aroma of aromatic hops. Flavour is a typical standard helles: moderate malts, moderate hops, grainy notes, easy drinking, nothing unpleasant but nothing really remarkable either. Nice enough, but the siphon was more impressive than the beer. |

3313 | Hövels Original Bitterbier | Germany | Amber Ale | 3.6
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml heavy dark green swingtop bottle, cool. Bought in Bier Spezi, Hamburg. Amber colour, large to moderate off-white head. Lovely hoppy aroma when pouring, not equally impressive in the glass. For something from Germany called "Bitterbier" I kind of expected a hoppy explosion, but the bitterness is actually very moderate. Still, some hops are around, and they are quite well balanced with the malts. Hints of caramel and a certain herbal spiciness too. Unusual style for Germany, but not really remarkable. |

3316 | Hønefoss Brygghus 1716 Pilsner | Sweden | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 2.9
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, contract brewed by Krönleins Bryggeri, Sweden, for Hønefoss Brygghus, Norway - another "brewhouse" that does not brew. ABV is 4.7%. Thanks to OleR for procuring the bottle. The recommendation on the label to drink it "ice cold" makes me somewhat sceptical ... Golden colour, big white head. Acceptable pilsener aroma, moderately sweetish, notes of floral hops and some fruit. The flavour is fairly fresh and crisp, moderate sweetness, too moderate hops. Definitely drinkable, but not very "special" in any way. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, thanks to OleR. Contract brewed by Krönleins Bryggeri, Sweden, for Hønefoss Brygghus, Norway. ABV is 4.7%. Mahogany coloured beer, moderate beige head. Malty aroma, like a Münchener dunkel, notes of brown bread and caramel. The flavour is also malty and bready, sweet first with distinct notes of caramel, while the finish is fairly dry but not very bitter. OKish. |

3318 | Hønefoss Brygghus Helt Konge | Sweden | Pale Lager | 2.5
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, thanks to OleR. Brewed for Hønefoss Brygghus, Norway, by Krönleins Bryggeri, Sweden. ABV is 4.7%. One has to accept that Hønefoss Brygghus is another "brewhouse" that does not brew (the slogan "Drink locally" is thus ridiculous) , but why on earth do they commission a pale lager in the Norwegian style "sommerøl", contract brewed by mediocre Krönleins? Norwegian macro breweries have plenty of boring "sommerøl", there is absolutely no need for another one. HB’s Juleøl (a stout brewed by Det Lille Bryggeriet) was decent, this one is not undrinkable, but certainly no masterpiece. The recommendation on the label "To be drunk ice cold" gives you some idea about what to expect. Deep golden colour, much darker than other "sommerøl", moderate white head. Sweetish unpleasant aroma, typical Swedish macro. Notes of artificial candy and rotting vegetables. The flavour is fortunately much better than the aroma, some moderate malts and hops are around, and the beer is not too sweet. |

3323 | HumanFish S.I.P.A. | Slovenia | IPA | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. I hope this is the right HumanFish S.I.P.A. beer, no vintage nor the word "Harvest is mentioned on the label, which is different from the picture of the ordinary SIPA. ABV is 6.1%. Hops are Dana, Aurora and Cascade. Malts are Pale Ale, Munich and Aroma. Hazy reddish brown colour, large off-white head. Aroma of lightly roasted malts, piney and and grapefruity hops. Slightly dry flavour of roast malts and resinous hops, bitter finish. |
