3253 | Hogna Stjerneskudd | Norway | IPA | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 February 2022: 440 ml can, batch #336, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. "Dirty" yellow cloudy colour, moderate white head. Aroma of liquorice, hints of pumpernickel bread and some pine. Flavour of liquorice and citric hops, some lactose sweetness, sufficient malts, low bitterness. Something out the ordinary this one, debatable if it is perfectly balanced, but well worth sampling. |

3259 | Holbæk Bryg Isefjord Winter | Denmark | Stout | 4.0
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7%. Brewed with fresh sage and ginger. Black colour, dark brown in the highlights. Big tan head. Nice roasty aroma, notes of coffee, hints of dark chocolate and herbs. Good creamy mouthfeel. The flavour is distinctly roasty and spicy, but the ginger is not burning. Notes of coffee and dark chocolate again, good bitterness in the finish. Some ashes and wood in the aftertaste. This must be one of Holbæk Bryg’s better beers. |

3260 | Holbæk Bryg Munken | Denmark | Dry Stout | 3.3
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.0%. Black colour, big tan head. Both the aroma and flavour have notes of dry malts, woodwork and coffee, hints of dark chocolate, ashes and dust. A mix of schwarzbier and stout, hm? Drinkable, but not particularly successful. |

3261 | Holbæk Fjord Beer | Denmark | Blonde Ale | 2.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 500 ml bottle, thanks to Tom. ABV is 3.5%. Pale golden colour, big to moderate white head. Smells like an industrial pale lager, some grassy hops, hints of honey, metallic notes. The flavour is somewhat better than the aroma, light bodied of course, but there are fairly decent hops thoughout. Bitter and slightly metallic aftertaste. |

3263 | Holbæk Lillevang Pale Ale | Denmark | English Pale Ale | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml bottle, thanks to Tom. ABV is 6.5%. Golden colour, big white head. Fairly strong aroma of Saazer hops, grassy and herbal notes. The flavour has a distinct bitterness from start to finish (Target hops?), but not much else, neither maltiness nor hop flavour other than the bitterness. Not my favourite pale ale this one. |

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 500 ml can, as Holsten Premium Lager. ABV is 5.0%. Golden colour, moderate head. Standard pale lager aroma, grassy notes. Flavour has first some sweetness, then a certain bitterness takes over, metallic notes. Not a great beer by any means, but as international pale lagers go: I’ve had worse. |

Pleasant to drink. |

3267 | Homborsund Svartskjær Belgisk Quadrupel | Norway | Abbey Quadrupel | 4.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 330 ml bottle, as Homborsund Svartskjær Belgisk Quadrupel. ABV is 10%, IBU 40. Hops are Polaris and Saaz. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, brown kandij sugar syrup and dark dried fruits. Rich mouthfeel, warming throatfeel. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, with more roast malts than most quads, but is not as sweet as the aroma made me fear. Quite enjoyable to drink. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle conditioned, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.8%. Black colour, moderate beige head. Pleasant mildly roasty aroma, notes of mild coffee, dark chocolate and woodwork, a hint of liquorice. The medium dry flavour has the same elements as the aroma.
