3052 | Hansa Roséøl | Norway | Fruit Beer | 1.8
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml slimline can, from Coop Extra Sauda. ABV is 4.7%. Clear pink colour, moderate off-white to pink head. Aroma and flavour of a neutral pale lager diluted with water and splash of a bog standard rosé wine. No bitterness, bland as hell, needless to say I won't buy again. |

3053 | Hansa Shandy Grapefrukt | Norway | Fruit Beer | 2.6
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 500 ml can, from Joker Vatlandsvåg. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy golden colour with a pinkish hue. Shortlived white head. Aroma and flavour of grapefruit soda, sweet. Some malts in the background. Fairly refreshing. Contains 50% beer and 50% lemonade / grapefruit soda, which means that the beer alone must have been 9.4%, unless alcohol has been added to the blend. |

3054 | Hansa Sommerøl | Norway | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Not THAT bad - a light/pale summer pilsener that's intended to run smoothly down your throat. It does. Period. Rerate: This year's production has not improved the quality. Why on earth do all Norwegian breweries insist on making light/pale, bland and totally uninteresting 'summer beers', when their ordinary pilsners are summer beers good enough?? (Actually, the ordinary ones are much better). |

3055 | Hansa Sterkøl | Norway | Strong Lager | 2.6
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 500 ml can, sold at Vinmonopolet. Peculiar yeasty (even though this is a filtered and pasteurised lager) sweet and fruity aroma. Flavour is nothing to shout hurrah! for (bland and alcoholic), very little aftertaste. You'll be so more happy drinking any Norwegian Christmas beer ('Juleøl') - just be sure to get the strong ("klasse F", Vinmonopolet) version. Beers like this one just aren't flavourful enough for winter, and not refreshing enough for summer! |

3056 | Hansa Ultra Lavkarbo | Norway | Light / Lite Lager | 1.4
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 500 ml can. Another beer for the "low carb" craze people. Pale golden colour, head disappears rapidly. Moderate carbonation. Very weak aroma. I was thirsty when I drank it, it was refreshing - but so would a glass of mineral water have been. The lack of flavour is made more tolerable by the fact that there are no offensive side-flavours either. People who actually LIKE beer should avoid these low carb beers like the plague. |

3057 | Hansa Vinterlys | Norway | Spiced Beer | 3.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 500 ml can, from Joker Vatlandsvåg. ABV is 4.7%. Hazy pale yellow colour, large to moderate white head. Aroma of tangerine and mild spices, particularly cloves. Nice flavour of citrus, cloves, nutmeg, cardamom and other spices. Moderate hops. Much better than I feared, might buy again. |

3058 | Hansa Waldemars Brown Ale | Norway | Brown Ale | 2.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 500 ml can, ABV is 4.5%. Golden brown colour, big to moderate head. Dull and boring aroma, weak hints of malts and caramel. The flavour is also dull and boring but not offensive, moderate notes of malts, a weak hint of toffee but the beer is not sweet. Hardly any noticeable hops at all. Thin mouthfeel. Yawn. Zzzzzzz. |

3059 | Hansa Waldemars Pale Ale | Norway | English Pale Ale | 2.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 4 500 ml can, ABV is 4.5%. A "pale ale" brewed with German aromatic hops, hmm? Golden colour, big to moderate head. Moderate "pale lager" aroma, hints of grass and honey. The flavour and mouthfeel are also like a pale lager, as such not the worst I have tasted, not offensive, but far from great. In a blind test I would never have guessed that this was an ale. Lacks completely the character of an English bitter / pale ale. |

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Draught at the brewpub / restaurant. Golden colour, low head, slightly hazy. Minimal aroma. Average pilsener flavour with a certain hoppy bitterness. "Improved" when I finished it with my matjes herrings, like a pilsener normally would. |

Moderate roasty aroma with notes of chocolate and liquorice. Very moderate flavour with roastiness and some caramel, minimal hops. Moderate rye bread aftertaste. I’m not that impressed. |

3065 | Hantverksbryggeriet Baronen (2008) | Sweden | English Barleywine | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Oct. 2013: 330 ml bottle, vintage 2008, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. ABV is 12.7%. Cloudy dark brown colour, large beige head. Sweetish malty aroma, notes of oak, alcohol and caramel. Warming mouthfeel. Malty flavour, oak and caramel again, but not too sweet for a barleywine. Also notes of dark dried fruits. Oaky and hoppy finish. |

Moderate sweetish aroma, hints of honey, caramel and some fruit. The flavour is fairly malty with a moderate fruitiness, but a bit dull - not much bitterness here. |

3069 | Harboe Alkoholfri | Denmark | Reduced Alcohol | 1.7
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml can, as Harboe Alkoholfri, from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 0.5% or less. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Typical n/a beer aroma of wort and baby porridge. Thin mouthfeel. The flavour has also notes of baby porridge, a little citrus, and some metallic bittering hops in the finish. Pretty bad. |

3072 | Harboe Dunkel | Denmark | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 2.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 330 ml can, called "Premium Dunkel", but must be the same beer. ABV is the same. Adding "premium" to the name of most of their beers will not hide the fact that Harboe is one of the least interesting discount breweries in Northern Europe. Brown colour, very thin for a dunkel. Decent head. Moderate malty aroma. Flavour has a very moderate maltiness, very thin and slightly metallic mouthfeel. Another poor brew from Harboe. |

3073 | Harboe Extra Strong 7.7% | Denmark | Strong Lager | 2.3
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml can, as Harboe Extra Strong, from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 7.7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of malts and glucose syrup, some herbal hints. Medium sweet flavour (too sweet to be refreshing), notes of glucose syrup and alcohol, moderate herbal hops in the finish. |

3074 | Harboe Gold | Denmark | Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 April 2017: 330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.9%. Golden colour, moderate to low white head. Sweetish "industrial" aroma, hints of maize, malts and over-cooked vegetables. The flavour is also sweet, with moderate hops, but no particular off-flavours, so the beer is not undrinkable. |

Aroma of malts, caramel, dust and grain. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is first citric, then malty, with moderate bittering hops. Better than I feared. |
