3002 | HaandBryggeriet Weizenbock | Norway | Weizenbock | 3.7
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, Vinmonopolet. Batch No. 31. On the first pour my weissbier glass fills completely with brown foam, which very slowly subsides to form a large and creamy head, on top of an opaque dark brown beer. First a very nice aroma of dark fruits, bakery / rye bread, bananas and cloves, then some less pleasant sidenotes of pepper and artificial candy set in. Flavour is sweet and alcoholic, notes of roasted malts and slightly burnt toast. Fairly bitter finish. This weizenbock is no Aventinus, but still a nice try. |

3003 | HaandBryggeriet Wild Thing | Norway | Wild Ale | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Bottle, at HaandBryggeriet. Reddish brown colour, moderate head. The aroma has notes of wild forest cranberries (= lingonberries), redcurrants and red wine vinegar. The flavour is very crisp and dry, with some acidity. Nice enough, but I’d like a little more sweetness for a fuller mouthfeel. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Cask conditioned at The Cask & Barrel, Edinburgh. Served too warm. Amber colour, creamy head. Very nice aroma of fruity and zesty hops, hints of blackcurrants and maybe some balsamic vinegar. The flavour did not take advantage of the beer being served too warm. Biscuity flavour with tolerable hops, but not very exciting. |

Distinct aroma of mango and passionfruit, some wheaty, yeasty and piney notes too. Citric and fizzy mouthfeel. Wheaty, yeasty and fruity flavour - not very sweet, but too yeasty. Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 330 ml can, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy golden colour, huge white head that takes "forever" to settle, overcarbonated. Distinct aroma of yellow plums. 3016 | Hanby Cherry Bomb | United Kingdom | English Strong Ale | 2.1
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 4 Cask at the GBBF 2008. Deep golden colour, low coarse head. No carbonation in the glass. Strong aroma of marzipan / artificial almond essence and cherries. The flavour is also dominated by marzipan / almond essence with moderate cherries, but leaves overall an "unfresh", too sweet and rather nasty impression. Might have been slightly better if colder and with some carbonation. Worst beer of the festival for me. |

3017 | Hanby Scorpio Porter | United Kingdom | Porter | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Cask conditioned at the Ipswich Beer Festival 2004, gravity dispense. (The brewery website says ABV is 4.5%, but the picture of the pumpclip in the website says ABV is 5.3%(!). Probably varies.) Reddish brown colour. Sweet and fruity aroma and flavour, sour finish. A typical English moderate ABV porter. |

3018 | Hancock Beer | Denmark | Strong Lager | 3.4
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Original short rating: Above average - well worth sampling. Rerate, in Denmark: Rich strong lager, golden colour, large bottle 70 cl is standard, correct ABV is 6.5%. I normally haven't the greatest affinity for Danish golden lagers, don't know why I like this one, but I do. Must mean that it's fairly well balanced? Goes nicely with a few Danish "håndmadder". |

3019 | Hancock Black Lager | Denmark | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 2.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, in Denmark. Ascorbic and citric acid has been added to this "pure malt and Saazer hops" beer, hmmm..... Copper coloured, low head. Weak aroma, some caramel malts. Very moderate flavour of caramel malts. I’m not impressed! |

3020 | Hancock Hoker Bajer | Denmark | Lager | 2.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 5 Sampled in Denmark. Golden colour. Artificial candy aroma, not very pleasant. OKish standard lager flavour when cold, acceptable aftertaste. Far from great, though. This is not a beer to search out, the stronger "Hancock Beer" or their two Gambrinus beers are a better choice. |
