2551 | Fruktstereo Pulp | Sweden | Cider | 3.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 750 ml clear bottle, vintage 2018, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.5%. Lots of pulp sediment in the bottle. Moderately hazy (when poured carefully) greenish pale straw colour, no lasting head. Aroma of Nordic apples, a hint of sulphites. Apple flavour, some unfresh notes. Cannot compete with the best Norwegian ciders. |

2553 | Frydenlund Bayer | Norway | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Pleasant but not very strong aroma, malty flavour characterized by caramel and spices. More hoppy bitterness than other Norwegian bayers. An excellent accompaniment with beef and game dishes, also as an ingredient in the very same dishes! |

2554 | Frydenlund Bokkøl | Norway | Bock | 3.6
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 There are, at the present, only 4 Norwegian standard strength bocks (alphabethical order is identical with my quality ranking): Aass, Borg, Frydenlund and Mack. However, they are all well worth sampling. Frydenlund has a good head, pleasant oak and nut aroma (but not as good as Aass), malty flavour, acceptable aftertaste. The Frydenlund brewery was bought and closed many years ago by Oslo rival Ringnes, who continue to brew their beers. |

2556 | Frydenlund Gyllen IPA | Norway | IPA | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml can, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4.5%. I thought I had rated this beer when it was first introduced on the market, but apparently not. Hazy / murky yellow colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of citric hops, a hint of spruce. Light bodied. The flavour has moderate notes of citric and piney hops, not very sweet, medium bitter finish. Could have been better, could have been worse. |

2557 | Frydenlund Juicy Pilsner | Norway | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml can, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4.5%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate but nice aroma of citrus and tropical fruits, including lychee. The flavour has pleasant notes of citrus and lychee, fortunately not too sweet. Might well buy again, when I just want a nice summer refreshment. A tad more bitterness would not hurt, though. |

2558 | Frydenlund Julebayer | Norway | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Medium brown colour, moderate head, typical Munich dunkel malty and slightly spicy aroma, well balanced malty flavour, very close to the ordinary Frydenlund Bayer. Pleasant aftertaste. Very good for a "klasse D" (moderate ABV) beer. (Frydenlund was Ringnes' Oslo competitor, which they bought and closed about 15 years ago. At least they kept the recipes and the yeast - this is one of the beers that Ringnes now brew under the Frydenlund label.) |

2560 | Frydenlund Juleøl 4.5% | Norway | Vienna / Amber Lager | 3.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle. Dark reddish brown colour, moderate orange to beige head. Moderate aroma of brown malts, hints of caramel and "dusty" hops. The flavour has a moderate malty sweetness with notes of caramel, a noticeable fruitiness, low bitterness. Drinkable, but lacks the character of a "proper" (strong) Yule/Christmas beer. |

2563 | Frydenlund Pilsener | Norway | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 This was my favourite Oslo pilsener many years ago when Frydenlund Bryggeri existed in its own right (and I literally lived next door to the brewery a couple years!), but Ringnes' revival of the brew is not bad - it just isn't quite as fresh and spritzy as i remember it. (But then my memory isn't what it used to be, either...) Well, this is a pale golden, medium hopped pils, perhaps more rounded than a pils ought to be, well worth sampling but nothing that will linger in your dreams. |

2564 | Fucking Hell Original | Germany | Helles / Dortmunder | 2.2
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, as Fucking Hell Original, kindly shared by gunnar. A helles named after the Austrian village Fucking - what did you think it was? Brewed in Germany. Very pale golden colour, low white head. Very little aroma, a hint of grass and flowers. Moderate flavour, a little sweetness, a little bitterness in the finish. Nothing spectacular here, except the name ... |

Moderate spicy aroma with notes of farmhouse, hints of farmhouse cider. The flavour has a bit of "rough" farmhouse character, on a basis of Belgian yeast. Moderately bitter finish. Drinkable, but did not blow my socks off. |

2570 | Fuglebjerggaard 88. Bryg - Kølster Nattens Dronning | Denmark | English Strong Ale | 2.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 3 Bottle, ABV 6.5%, at RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Orange colour, slightly hazy, moderate head. "Rotten" and infected aroma, some notes of citrus too. The flavour has some notes of citrus and caramel, but is generally "unfresh" and has very little to brag about. |

2574 | Fuglestein Morild | Norway | Cider | 4.1
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9 750 ml green bottle, from the cidery. ABV is 8%. Pétillant-naturel. Apple varieties are Rubinstep, Aroma and Katja. Extremely pale straw colour, pours vigorously sparkling with a large but shortlived head. Lovely aroma of fresh eating apples, a hint of sulphites. Dry and crisp flavour, notes of apples and brut champagne, must be excellent with seafood, particularly salmon and trout. |
