The aroma is dishsoap, oranges, weak herbal hops, and ginger. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, almost powdery, with below average carbonation, which is expected in a radler. You can taste both the fruit and ginger in the flavour, which is rather unique. Again, as a ‘drink’, I would try this again based on flavour alone, but still looking for more beer quality.

The aroma is yeast, grass, some citrus, and a touch of honey. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with above average carbonation. Flavour is sweet, grainy with notes of honey and yeast. Quite enjoyable.

The aroma is a mixture of yeast, malt and fruit such as plums. The mouthfeel was highly carbonated and full-bodied. The flavour was malt, with some hop bitterness.

The aroma was malt, yeast, and plenty of dark fruit tones like plums. The mouthful was full-bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was plums and licorice with a hint of hoppy bitterness. An excellent beer.

The flavour was very much like burnt bacon and burnt coffee.

A little spiciness as well.

The aroma was fruity and spicy with a hint of yeast. Apples and citrus were the predominant fruit notes. Mouthfeel was medium bodied and well carbonated. The first flavour note is yeast, followed by some light apple and citrus, and unfortunately, the alcohol is very noticeable.

The beer poured an transparent muddy brown colour with a short-lived thin head. The aroma was very weak, but there were hints of sweet malt. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, and mildly carbonated. The flavour was bitter, and sweet. Hints of both spruce and pine come through with the malt. The ingredients do not list hops on the bottle - interesting.

The cap is light brown in colour, creamy, and about 2cm think. The aroma is roasted nuts, soy sauce, nuts, and oatmeal, and maybe a whiff of alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is dominated by roasted malt and alcohol with hints of leather/charred wood, coffee, nuts, and dark chocolate. Sadly the leathery taste and the alcohol being so noticeable kill this beer.

I was expecting more tropical juiciness, which may have been a reach for a macro brewer.

The worst of the Alexander Keith Hop series ales by far!

I followed it up with a Keith’s Red....and that was a mistake in and of itself.

There was very little effervescence. The aroma was weak wheat malt, and some citrus (but that may have been the small chunk of orange affixed to the rim of the glass). The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with mild carbonation. The flavour was sweet wheat malt, some peppery spiciness, and finished with a mild bitterness. I tried the beer because it was the only thing in the restaurant I hadn’t tried. I may never try it again
