Color was not pale in my opinion.had good malt taste and I found it not to be bitter. It seemed to have a smell that reminded me of wheat. Went well with my steak dinner. And paired well with my after dinner cigar.

I guess this was my first rye beer. If I were to guess it must be a IPA. It wasn't so much bitter as what I would say it was sour. Citrus was very apparent and I can say that I'm a fan of this beer.

Pours out ice tea color with a tint of red. Aroma is very mild with a hint of hop. The mouthfeel is a little thin. The taste is okay normal run of the mill ale with just a slight note of hops.

Seems to have just a bit of a bite for being a pale lager. Not much in the way of taste but then not many pale lagers do. Okay to drink while having a meal. But not to much in the way of enjoyment by itself.

A nice brown colored beer with jus a tinge of red. Maybe just a little bit light in flyover for such a drank colored beer. Best drank ice cold because it seems to start to have a little bit of metal taste.

Pours a deep golden brown with a thick head. The aroma is of light malt and nothing else. The mouthfeel solid with a bubble effect. The taste is okay not in the least bold or complex.

Yeah boy this one pours out black gold. The aroma is al coffee,malt,grains and chocolate. The mouthfeel is thick with a note of cold bitter coffee. The taste hits my tongue hard on the front from the abv but it's only 6.5. The after taste is burnt malt with coffee notes. Good brew.

Better than your average yellow beer but unlike other revue rivers opinions. I didn't find it to be bitter or hoppy. Pretty thin in as far as I like to dink motor oil but good for a thirsty beer drinker.

Pours out 100% black with no head. The mouthfeel is okay nut not thick. The aroma is definitely of cherries with a not of chocolate. There is a slight sour taste with a wood finish.

Pours out a dark brown color. The aroma is very mild nothing special pops out. The mouthfeel feel is average. The is a little I mostly taste coffee and roasted barley.

This was a real shocker. Tons of spice and flavor. I was shocked at the amount of sediment that was in the bottom of the bottle. I really liked this one and want to find it again.

Pours out almost a solid black color with no head. The aroma is just of deer roasted malt. The mouthfeel is thick like heavy weight oil. The taste is like a fresh pot of cold coffee. This is really like a creamy cold coffee.

Pours cloudy golden orange with a very foamy light head. Has aroma of malt and hops. The mouthfeel is solid but has semi bitter notes. The flavor is well balanced but just a tad hoppy.

Pours out a cloudy ice tea color with no head. The aroma is is a little like the smell of brownies. The mouthfeel is only average. The taste is of heavy rosted malt and burnt coffee. This is okay just not one of Bells best.

Poured out 100% solid black and that is the end of a good review. The taste, the mouthfeel and the aroma are all very average. First time Ive had a beer from Bells this average really subpar for Bells.

Now this is some smooth tasting motor oil. I drank two and was not able to to get even the slightest foam of a head. This is a very fine stout and I would recommend to anybody to sample.

Want a stout you can chew try this one. Drinks well ice cold or warm. Try it with a cigar or a steak either is good. Just make sure you get more than one you won't want to run out.

This is like drinking liquid bread with some spice in it. Cloudy yellow beer with thick white head.i notice sweet malt taste with zero bitterness.its thirst quinceing but a bit watery. All and all a little than better average beer.

Wow what a bag in this porter is at less than two dollars. Pours deep dark board with red edges and a nice foam head. The aroma is of rich mat and the mouthfeel is almost thick. The flavor has balance of malt and solid hops with no bitterness.

Pours very dark brown almost black with a faint white head. The aroma smells like it going to be hoppy. The mouthfeel is good and thick. Thank goodness it's not hoppy but it is slightly bitter. I can taste and feel the cream on my tongue. Has just a slight resemblance to a milk stout.

Pours out a thin liquid in a cloudy brown color. The aroma is mostly grain alcohol and malted fruit. The mouthfeel is sort of a blend of sweet and sour. The taste is tangy with spice and malt.its better than the only other French beer that I've drank.

Used to drink this as a young man because of the high abv It sure wasn't for the taste. When your young you will try just about anything. It's good to grow older because I would try to STEER a beer lover away from a STAG !

What a beauty pours out 100% black with a beautiful tan head. The aroma is sweet and very complex. The mouthfeel is creamy and very thick. The high ABV of 13% warms up your chest. The taste is extremely complex full of everything holy.
