This is by far the best beer I've ever drank. It is 100% black and pours zero head. It has so many hints and notes I can't describe it. Except to say the bourbon aroma and taste are very pronounced. It's a shame it's a seasonal beer.

This is perfection in a bottle ! The ABV is so high it warms your chest as it goes down. This beer taste just like it smells which is out of this world. This is only the second beer I have rated all 10's. I will be doing my best to find some more of this it's just fantastic.

Interesting color because it looks brown but is so dark a light won't shine through it. There is also a medium brown head.The aroma is powerful you can smell it three feet away poured into a glass. The mouthfeel is 100% thick. The taste is extreme and complex and hides the 18.2 Abv very well. I can taste some coffee and the other taste are hard to single out. The more it warms up the more the flavor comes out.

Pours out 100% black with a really dark chocolate color head. The aroma heavy malt and some chocolate. The mouthfeel is solid and thick. The taste is coffee in your face and the rest of the taste is complex.

This is without a doubt the very best beer I've ever drank. The aroma is off the charts of dark roasted malt. The appearance is 100% solid black. The mouth taste is the thickest riches beer that I know of on the market. I would love to be able to find another bottle of it.

Holy Santa this is incredible! Pours out dark enough a light won’t shine through it with a big thick head. The aroma is powerful, full of molasses licorice and chocolate. Nice sharp sting on the tongue from all the spices. Mouthfeel is thick and rich it’s just perfect.

Pours out like a black hole in space with a black head. The aroma has hints of hops, coffee and chocolate. The mouthfeel is like drinking cement. The flavor is molasses, chocolate,roasted malt and coffee. This is fantastic and like drinking liquid gold.

Pours out 100% black that a light can't penetrate. The aroma is oak, smoke, fresh cut wood and roasted malt. The mouthfeel is sludge just the way I like it. The taste is off the charts complex.

This pours out of the bottle glugging like melted tire rubber with a massive lingering head. The aroma is hops, chocolate, coffee and malt. The mouthfeel is like sludge and the taste. Is everything listed on the label, coffee chocolate,vanilla & malt. And it's seldom if ever I agree with the label. What would improve my almost perfect rating of this elixir would be more suttle hops.

Oh my God this is black as beer can ever be ! The aroma is of a alcohol and more alcohol. The mouthfeel is like drinking cement. The tastes is of alcohol and heaven , how else can you describe a punch to the mouth ?

Holy crap 18% abv. I can't feel the alcohol in my mouth but I damn sure can in my head. This pours out 100% black with only a lacing of a brown head. The aroma is over whelming but with pleasure. The taste right up front blackstrap molasses. It's balanced with honey dates, figs and lord who knows what else. It's very complex and a real joy to drink. But at 18% take it easy.

What a beauty pours out 100% black with a beautiful tan head. The aroma is sweet and very complex. The mouthfeel is creamy and very thick. The high ABV of 13% warms up your chest. The taste is extremely complex full of everything holy.

Pours out a dark golden brown and cloudy hue after only pouring out a inch of liquid. There is a massavive head that just clings on forever. The aroma is just really nothing. The mouthfeel is like drinking cement. The taste is very complex wth sweet Barleywine notes.

Pours out 100% pitch black with a beautiful dark brown head. The aroma is of heavy malt and hops. The mouthfeel is EXTREMLY thick. The taste is out of this world. This is absolutely fantastic.

The one I drank was spelled pump[KY]n and was 17.22 ABV. It poured out 100% dark brown that a beam of light couldn't penetrate. The aroma is sweet and malty. The mouthfeel is EXTREMLY thick. The taste is spices and pumpkin and sweet.

This is by far the best of the Bourbon County series I’ve had to date.I can definitely taste the flavor of the berries. The only thing that keeps me from giving this a perfect rating. Is the mouthfeel is not as think as I like to enjoy.

Boy this surprised me when I poured it out. I've had blueberry beer before just not one that poured out blue with a purple head. You can smell the blueberries as soon as you pop the cap. The mouthfeel is thick and the flavor is sweet and BLUEBERRY. I just looked at all the other ratings and I guess the rest of you must be IPA drinkers. I'm all about stouts and porters but I think this is really unique.

Pours out a extremely dark brown color just this side of black with a red edge. The aroma is intense mostly of malt, oak and plums. The mouthfeel is perfect and a joy to swill in my mouth. The taste is the best barley wine I've enjoyed.

Pours out and instantly you can smell the pumpkin. Instead of reviewing the appearance, mouthfeel and such. I will just say this not only a fantastic imperial stout. This is hands down the best pumpkin beer brewed. Absolutely a treat to drink !

Pours out a EXTREMLY cloudy unfiltered brown with a long lasting foamy head. The aroma shows that there is a high ABV waiting but the yeast and fruit cover it up pretty well. The mouthfeel is perfect EXTREMLY thick. The taste is very complex full of malt,yeast and spices. This a excellent ale, I must buy moor.

Just about perfect poured out 100% pitch black. And you know you just drank a good beer. When the clear glass you just drank out of is stained brown. This has 80 ibu but only the first sip is bitter.

This is a solid black porter that makes me think of Dr. Pepper because it has so many flavors. It's one of the few Imperial porters I don't find to be bitter. The aroma is full if every kind of hints and notes that exist.

Pours out a burnt orange color with a thick white head. The aroma is apricot,peach and spice. The mouthfeel is thick but boy you can feel the alcohol. The flavor is a mix of barley wine and Belgium ale. This may very well be the best Samuel Adams product I've tried.
