Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. One would think a Baltic porter brewed in a Baltic seaport would be amazeballs, but they forgot to include the Baltic Brewery because this Baltic Porter is shit. It pours a dark blackish-brown colour with a light brown head. The aroma is roasted malt, molasses, funk, and vomit. The flavour mirrors the aroma, especially the vomit, it was all I could do to get this beer down.

Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. This is a weak excuse for a beer. It pours a very pale gold colour with no head. The aroma is grass, weak floral hops, and yeast. The flavour is grainy malt, floral hops, and a hint of spiciness.

Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. Strong golden lagers tend to be dangerously undrinkable and I found this one to be no exception. A golden pour with copper hues and a snow white head. The aroma is grainy malt, and alcohol. The flavour is also grainy malt and alcohol.

Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. Beer pours a weak clouded golden colour with a generous bubbly white head. Aroma is floral hops, biscuit malts, and buttered popcorn. The flavour is honey, caramel, and malt with yeast notes in the finish.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7

Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. A clear copper coloured beer with a weak white cap that lingers for a while. The aroma is caramel, yeast, and cereal malts. The flavour is toffee, yeast, and grains. A very easy drinking beer.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. Beer poured a slightly hazed golden brown colour with a very thin tan coloured ring for a head. The aroma was weak caramel, cereal malts, and floral hops. The flavour was sweet with caramel and malt before giving way to a bitter hoppy finish. Quite good.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. This comes packaged in a nice tissue cover. The beer pours a dark reddish brown with a light brown bubbly head. The aroma is funk, tart fruit, yeast, and grains. The flavour is tart cherries, some sweet malt, and more of the yeast and earthy funk.

It was very hard to rate this beer. It purports to be a Berliner Weisse but not much about the beer said that to me. For one, it wasn’t tart at all, and two, I didn’t detect any wheat. It is a crystal clear pale gold in the glass that starts off with a huge white foamy head, but that is gone in no time. There is definitely cucumber in the aroma, but the aroma is rounded out with artificial perfumy notes of light fruit and spices. The flavour is light, but again, the spiciness is more artificial than real.

Making a Berliner Weisse seems to have become a lost art among brewmasters, but thankfully you can still find them if you look hard enough. You can smell the tartness a mile away for this beer. A golden pink beer with almost no head. Lots of tart fruit and wheat in the aroma with some spice hints to round it out. Flavour is very well balanced with some mild fruit sweetness that gives way to the tart notes one expects from the style.

An IPA in the truest American sense. Lots of Pacific Northwest hops in this baby! A cloudy pour, an amber gold in colour, with a thin creamy light tan cap. Again, pine and citrus dominate the aroma with hints of grass and spices. Citrus dominates the flavour as well, nicely balanced by the malt.
