Pours very dark brown with a nice brown head that didn't last very long, other than some wet lacing. A sweet, medium bodied beer with caramel and chocolate all in. I don't drink lagers too often, but this one is better than any I can remember recently. Give it a try!

It's been a long time since I've had this beer. It didn't taste anywhere near as good as I used to think it was... and that's not saying much. Now I know I can go another decade ;)

Very hazy, orange brown color with a pretty nice foam. Unusual mix of coffee, liquor and hops in this beer. Coffee kind of mellows out the hops, but it's of course a very bitter finish. It's a quality beer, but I'm not really digging it. Certainly not common.

A monster beer for the night. Super dark brown head on this beer. I was not expecting the flavor that came with it, thanks to not reading the description about strawberries in it. But man, this is good. It's really tastes like chocolate covered strawberries, and it works well as an Imperial Stout. Fresh strawberries. Smooth going down but plenty of alcohol. Get it if you can.

Pours a super fine, fizzy head on a piss colored clear beer. Definitely getting the lime in this gose, with some fruitiness and salt. Thin body. Tart.

Really foamy beer with a nice dark red-brown color. Aroma was an awesome nutty, coffee, sweet breakfasty treat. It's a shame the carbonation fizzed away so quickly, leaving a less than desirable mouthfeel. Starts sweet with a long lasting dry finish. Good enough to be worth seeking out another one of the Fiddlin' Fish.

Had this one on draft at a local bottle shop while I shopped. Poured much darker than I was expecting. Plenty of foam. I sampled a kiwi sour right before this one and was happy to taste this more authentic sour ale! Cherry and oak, nice tart sourness. Strong as well. Try it if you find it.

Eh, I'm not feeling this beer. It is missing underwhelming me in almost every way. Hops? A little bit. Fruit? A little bit. Body? A little bit. Take my money? Not even a bit. Sorry Terrapin!

Black beer with a ice dark brown foam. Average lacing. Aroma is unique for the style, which comes from the addition of honey. Bourbon and roasted malt combines with the honey to give it an unusual sweetness. Full body with a drying fizziness. After drinking half of the 12oz bottle I could already feel the alcohol affecting me. Strong beer! I really like these Olde Hickory strong beers and suggest trying whenever you find it.

Pours about as black as a moonless night with a moderately foamy, fizzy head with nice lacing. Coffee leads the charge with hints of chocolate and roasted malt. Medium body and fairly sweet. The chocolate takes over the lead as the beer warms. Good beer, but nothing that makes it stand out from the crowd.
