Great body and color, and a decent head. The combination of citrus/floral notes sort of competed with the distinct bitter hops, rather than blending. I can't remember having a beer that did that, and throughout I could not decide if I actually liked it. Strange brew. This is definitely a "different" sort of beer.

Very nice brown ale, but a bit pricey. Everything is above average (color, head, aroma, general body) except the finish is a bit on the bitter side. Flavor hints of sweet nut, but subdued overall. Overall very nice beer to go with sweets to counter that distinctly bitter finish.

Nice dark amber brown, thinner head. Roasty sweet flavor, rounded out with a hoppy, slightly bitter finish. Medium body and somewhat dry. All qualities I love! Since I live in Atlanta, I can get this on draught every now and then, and it is definitely better on draught than in the bottle. This review is for draught. The bottled version loses a little bite, and has a slightly more bitter finish.

Often the only choice on draught, this is a surprisingly good brew, especially for the price. Although it's touted as a "dark beer", I think of it as a very good light beer that happens to be a little dark in color. That doesn't mean I don't like it, just that it works where you want a medium-light body simple beer instead of a dark richer one. Pouring fast will get you a light small head which disappears fast, and a very smooth, simple, good tasting cold brew. Pairs well with food in an anonymous kind of way, which is sometimes a very good quality. Good everyday beer.

This is a perfect balance of bitter and sweet in a stout. Wonderful thick and opaque body with a rich creamy head when poured, that doesn't last nearly long enough for my liking. It's a tough choice, but I typically pour this one very slowly to retain more carbonation bite, which rounds out the mouthfeel perfectly (It's actually very good in the bottle for this same reason). If you do pour, enjoy those first few foamy sips before they slip away.
