It is hard to think of this as beer, but it is enjoyable if you are boating or hanging out by the pool. Not much real beer flavor. Sort of comes off like a beer-based Tequila Cooler. It will get you drunk if that is what you are after.

I question the alleged alcohol content as I have had better beer feel from near beer. I can only assume that it is consumed by people who like to say that they are drinking beer without actually drinking it. It has virtually no taste, weak carbonated body, skunky smell, and no effect on the body other than excessive urination. It is cheap, which may or may not be a redeeming quality, depending on the person buying it. Definitely a university fave in the US, for whatever reason.

I found the flavor very appealing, more browny than nutty, but still bitter and sweet all at once. I was a little put-off by greasy brown tinge to the head, and very American feel it had in my mouth. Almost seems mass produced but is a micro brew. Still a solid 8 and better than any truly mass produced beer. Not a session beer, but a nice sampler.

If you are a fan of fruit beers then this is a solid choice. I found the fruit essences subtle enough to drink an entire 6-pack in an afternoon. It is a nice, refreshing hot weather beer. Definitely a pounder, and not bad for people who are not 100% sold on beer.

Jalapenos and beer should not be in a bottle together. Eat a pepper and wash it down with a beer. This is no slight to Garrison, it is a shot at the "Pepper Beer" genre as a whole.
