About:
Pictured is my first attempt at home-brewing, Williams American IPA. It was alot of fun and turned out a nice hoppy brew.

Pours a clear golden color. Different from most IPAs that have a copper/amber tone. Smell is of pine and citrus. Mouthfeel is crisp with ample carbonation. The flavor is hoppy with pine and citrus. This is a world class IPA.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into pint shaker. Dark dark brown, almost black. Looks as if it could be a porter. Nice head developed and faded fairly quickly. Smells of roasted malt. The taste is good. Roasted malt with a hint of sweetness. This is almost like a cross between brown ale and porter. I enjoyed it very much.

This is a great easy drinking pale ale. In the ever increasing hop flavors of the American IPA, this one seems mild. However, put this next to a burger, nachos, pizza, or any other assortment of comfort foods and this beer goes perfectly. The alcohal content isn't through the roof, so you can enjoy a few of these. This is one of my favorite everyday beers.

Nice hoppy aroma and a golden appearance in the glass. I actually like the lightter look of this beer because it really disguises the flavor. Usually a big IPA will be copper or amber. This on looks like it could be a pilsner, though with less head developing. The mouthfeel is nice. Not too heavy, but could use just a touch mor carbonation. The flavor is great. Nice and hoppy -- definitely pine with a littel sweetness, but leaving a nice bitter finish. This is a beer that I will have again.

I used to live in the St. Louis area and this beer and Schlafly pilsner were two of my favorite beers to put in a bucket of ice and enjoy with a summer barbeque. This may be the perfect cookout beer. Its perfect blend of malt sweetness with just a hint of bitterness cuts through barbeque brilliantly, especially with a nice spicy chipolte barbeque sauce. I would recomend this beer to anyone wanting to relax with a tasty brew on a warm summers day.
