About:
I am collector of all things in the form of a 12 oz. aluminum beer can that I have personally consumed. I hate the term "microbrew", "brewpub", etc. I hate the trendiness that beer has taken on and enjoy old fashioned American style lagers in a can!

I revisited this old nemesis about a month ago and man was I suprised, you could they tinkered with the formula something heavy since I had my last can in 2000. I bought a 12 pack to share with my brother at a football tailgater, I hyped him up for it right after leaving the liquor store, telling him it was going to be the worst beer experience that he will ever have, that this beer tastes like the rising yeast of a pumpernickel loaf and that it will be the most horrible drink that he has ever tasted. I even stood back and watched as he took his first swig of the vile fluid to get his facial reaction. Uh Uh oh yeah its terrible you sucker.... but no, they watered the whole damn thing down to taste just like PBR, Hamm's, Stroh's, etc. That night we met up with a friend at the football game whom I knew had a 12 pack of Schlitz in the last year, and he conferred that Schlitz no longer tasted as bad as it did in the past, hmmmm....

Jever you are quite the annoying beer nerd, Basic American Lager just like all the rest plain and simple. I enjoyed you musings on the Huber lines as well, what a knob. My first memories of this beer were from when I was a very little kid and my uncle bitching at Xmas time that my dad bought that damn cheap Rhinelander Beer, just good to know that in my adulthood that it is still around, my wife loves the stuff as well.

This beer will take your breath away, and might not bring it back!!!!!! Average ice beer taste and if I can remember old Pig's Eye himself is pictured with a big thumbs up on the can. Picked it up one year for the annual Winter Beer Fest.

Picked this beer up for the annual Winter Beer Fest some 4 years ago. This beer had the cheapest most lame packaging I have seen this side of Pig's Eye Ice. It tasted like toilet and I would have to say is the worst beer besides old formula Schlitz (in case you haven't noticed but in the last 4 years they have gotten rid of the heavey yeast taste in Schlitz)that I have ever had.
