Pours a light amber with a heavy vanilla nose and a four fingers thick head. The oak is very present, but gives way to a traditional IPA. The hoppiness and bitterness comes in, but only after the vanilla and oak give way. The high alcohol content is present, but hidden well beneath the other flavors. You could get in trouble with this beer, especially from the 22oz bottle since it goes down so easy. I would highly recommend this beer for someone who likes both IPAs and Stouts as it is bold all around and it gets better as it approaches room temperature. Make sure to swirl it towards the end as your pour so as not to miss the sediment on the bottom of the bottle!

Not a bad pilsener. I prefer others, but I had this a few times while in Zurich and it wasn't too bad. It is a nice, crisp, pale beer, but I was looking for a little more hoppiness.

This is very popular around Zurich. It is a very solid lager with a head that lingers a bit and a nice crisp feel to it. You can get it cheaper in the can, but I always prefer it on draft.

This beer is exactly what it says it is. It pours a hazy orange without too much head. You can really smell the hops and then the Belgian Tripel comes through. It tastes like it smells. You get all of the hops first, but for non hop heads, just when the hops are about to be too much, the Belgian Tripel aspect of the beer kicks in and finishes smooth. My only disappointment is that this is a one time beer. I think if a brewery is on to something good, they should put it into the rotation.

Excellent description by the reviewer above me. Terrapin is one of my favorite breweries and therefore I could not turn this one down. It really is a truly unique beer. As mentioned above, if you like German Doppelbocks and/or Belgian Strong Ales, you may enjoy this beer. The one thing that stood out for me was the oaky vanilla finish. I probably won't get it again, but it is worth trying at least once.
