General Beer Discussion by CLASH
Has this been discussed before? I didnt see any topics. So what glassware do you have? I used a tall lager glass and pint glass for lagers and session ales. I use a tulip and a La Trappe sniffer for high ABV beers and belgians. And I have a pilsner glass, tall skinny glass, for whatever basically. My glassware collection is pretty lacking. Im loving my Dogwood Pint Glass right now. So what glassware do you use? And do you have any really interesting ones?

In Reply To #1 I have a growing collection of about 50-60 glasses or so. About half of those are standard pints, the rest are stemmed. I use my Rapscallion snifter for most big beers, but also use my Stone Imperial Russian Stout glass quite a bit. The coolest recent additions have been a Leute Bok glass, which has a stand because the bottom is rounded, looks like a narrow wine glass with the stem broken off. I also got a Dogfish Head oversized Raison D'etre glass, which looks like a red wine glass. For mose Belgian beers, I use my St. Bernardus glass. My strangest piece is my Stroh's chalice, which I can't find a picture of. It seems pretty damn old, and I picked it up at a flea market for $3. I just noticed some cool new glasses on Stone's and Victory's website. Stone Old Guardian glass is very unique, and the Victory Bockbier tankard and Golden Monkey goblets are pretty sweet. I may have to add to my collection. I have a small collection of glassware mostly pints that I bought from breweries or tastings. One or two were "acquired" from a pub I have 2 orientmental steins from my father in law and a mini pint from this years hops fest. My newest is my Chimay Chalice. The strangest glass is a plastic coors light glass shaped like a yard of ale. Why anyone would want a yard of coors light is beyond me. It is a neat conversation piece and sits on the bar. I also have a few mugs. I keep my eyes open for the unusual glass. There are a number of antique shops around my area so it isn't too hard to find something.
