New Belgium to Asheville too

Industry News by BLUESANDBARBQ

First Sierra Nevada, now New Belgium building east coasts facilities in or around Asheville, NC. What was already a stellar beer city just went EPIC. [^] It's good to be close. [:)][:p]

Figured you'd like that. Lots of good off the wall stuff from New Belgium. And some nice standards too!

This won't hurt the locals like Highland, will it?

Good question. Highland is the Godfather of Asheville Brewers. First and still some of the best sellers by far. They welcome the news with open arms - the more, the merrier. Asheville has an incredible vibe and obviously a thriving beer community. SN and NB there will only help the smaller ones. I see lots of collaborations for the beer geeks (like me) and lots of crossover support. Asheville Brewers already support one another. The big boys won't hurt that. Maybe a BeerPal meet up in Asheville this fall? We need to push that. Asheville already has lots of beer festivals, but a private tour and tasting in and around Asheville could be easily done.

Yep... Oskar to Brevard, NC, the prettiest little town I've ever seen. I forgot to post because I was sporting so much wood about it that I... well... had to unsport wood. Didn't see this one coming. I knew about Sierra Nevada and New Belgium. Brevard is closer to me than Asheville. Hooray for Beer!
