Interesting that the BC residents rate this beer so much higher than the the albertan and ontarian (what do ontario residents call themselves and how do you spell it?)

1) Ontarians (although I have seen Ontarions a couple of times in my life as well) 2) I didn't feel the flavour or aroma were strong enough. Considering the bottle was only a month or so old, it may not have travelled well. It's also an LCBO item and there are always questions about how they handle things (warehouse too warm, etc). I'm also not a huge fan of maple in beer - notice my 2.3 rating for Trafalgar Maple Bock (and I thought I was generous with that one). I know that Chopz eventually ends up rating most of the LCBO stuff too.....so we'll probably get to see what Quebec has to say eventually.

I for one was glad that it wasn't an overdose of maple. In fact, the soft maple worked well. It was a decent beer - a beer that I thought would just be a sugary bomb. Sometimes it's nice to have a beer that has called out flavours in the name and then that flavour turns out to be a subtle character.
