Local stuff: Real Ale 15th Anniversary Imperial Stout Southern Star cans a couple of great brews! Buried Hatchet Stout, Pine Belt Pale, and Bombshell Blonde Saint Arnold has decent brews, try and find the Weedwacker- it is their kolsch beer with a twist, they used Hefe yeast on their Lawnmower beer.. Austin Beerworks, not sure if its made it to San Antone yet, but if its there, BUY IT.. they have 4 brews, all are amazing! Ranger Creek is a MUST also... they are in San Antone and do a Smoked Porter and a belgian in bombers right now... Jester King is hot right now, Black Metal or Commercial Suicide are solid! plus Wytchmaker Rye IPA Rahr outta dallas has some nice stuff .. a hoppy altbier (gravel road) is tasty- bombers like snowmadgedon, ass kisser ipa and smoked porter are good too... and if in the NW part of SA, Try and grab a Freetail growler, they make amazing IPA's and specialty brews, and there prices and food are A+ .. Others: Great Divide Espresso Yeti, Choc Yeti, Belgian Yeti, Smoked Baltic Porter Any of the Boulevard Smokestacks (Saison Brett, Nommel dubbel, Dark Truth, etc) Clown Shoes starting hitting the state a couple of weeks ago Stone 15th New Belgium has a few different Lips of Faith beers out now (clutch, kick, super cru, la folie, etc) Full Sail Elevation IIPA Avery has some good stuff on the shelves right now, Kaiser Imperial Oktoberfest and there should be some of the demon series floating around, Samuels and Mephistopheles .. Oskar Blues in cans is solid too! look for Ten Fidy or G'Knight TX just started getting Lost Coast also Victory Storm King should be around too...

Pretty much, them and Specs will have most of what is available in Texas... and the best part of Gabriels is it's like 5 mins from Freetail .. its win-win!

I drink round here a good deal-Free Tail or some other Bat theme joint has mediocre brew but Excellent pizza. Blue Star is ok, and has good barley wine at times. Flying Saucer is just ok-hit em on Tuesday for $2.00 pints and its not half bad, nothing to write home about. HEB markets tend to have a good selection of brews as well. Remember the Alamo, and have at the Best Mex food in the Second largest city in Mexico! Gabriel's is a Bloody Rip Off!!
