I just had a 2013 bottle of this............there was absolutely no Imperial Stout character whatsoever. What came out of the bottle (marked clearly as Rasputin) was a darn brown beer that came across as a very sour Belgian Strong Ale. As Belgian Strongs are my favourite style, I was fine with it, but I really wanted an Imperial Stout described like the reviews.

Maybe their compromise was to not have a stout that was called Rasputin (trademarked by north coast) but a whatever it is now style beer? The name changes were funny for a while, but it seemed like they were losing. It was called Cease and Desist before Disputin, then I lost track. I had had it when it was a pretty nice impy stout, but the last time it was cola brown and not close to the same (though I thought it still said stout on the bottle). Weird...
