I am on a mission this Christmas Season....
General Beer Discussion by OIZNOP
...Come hell or high water, I am determined to find a solid Norwegian Jueol (with a slash through the o)....I am hoping that Nogne O (again, with a slash through the O) God Jul will be available at our local establishments. However, that will be the tip of the iceberg. If I have to drive up to Boardman, OH to Vintage Estates, I will. I am going to hit every place I can to find the style. Anyone have any suggestions on how to obtain a Jueol (with a slash through the o) this jingle season????....all advice welcome.... Oiz [:D]

One step ahead of you, John....Bookmarked that site yesterday while google searching.....[:D]....Thanks Much....Like I said, the places around here will hopefully take heed....I think I am going to visit one of the Sharp Edges this weekend (tonight) and see if I can do some gentle pursuasion (yes, I am capable of gentle pursuasion at times...LOL)....

A Wisconsin version should be available in November from Viking. I have not tried it, and reviews on RB &BA are less than stellar, but... http://www.vikingbrewing.com/products.htm
Well, a year later, and I am reviving this thread, as again, I am still on this mission....I think this weekend I will drive up to Boardman and see what their plans are at the Vintage Estates. Haven't been to the Sharpe Edge for a while, so I may again try the "gentle persuasuion" tactic....I really really want to try this Norwegian style, but I am finding it increasingly difficult to obatain....again, a year later, I ask, anyone have any suggestions??? Have you been to Vintage Estates recently? They have really increased their prices so take that for what it's worth. They have also continued to improve and expand the layout...it is a really sweet place now for bottle shopping, pints and grub. I also recommend the short drive to Rust Belt Brewing in Youngstown, they have limited hours so check out their website 1st if interested. The smallest commercial brewery I've ever visited, but a real good time and cheap growler fills as well as cases.

I will take all of this under advisement, Kinger...I was on their site earlier today...I see they carry Nogne O line.....So does the Sharp Edge, but last year, they did not have the God Jul....Disappointing....Thanks for the info....

I just got a bottle of Jueol from HanndBygerirt (however you spell it)from Belmont Station in Portland OR. I only got the one bottle as I had forgot about this forum, but maybe a trade is in order from someone in portland?
