Add Breweries to Compass?

Website Comments by DANSTING

Is this something that can be done? I'm going to upstate NY this week, and I'll be going to Middle Ages Brewing Company, but it's not listed in the compass. I found it via another site. It's not a big deal, and I know I can find Middle Ages on this site, but I think it'd be useful to find it via the compass too. Just a thought. I love this site, and just want to help make it as good as possible if I can.

Dansting, we have over 2350 breweries in the vault and over 2100 retailers (brewers, brewpubs, package stores, homebrew shops, etc) in the compass. Not bad. But yeah, let's keep building. Why don't you add Middle Ages to the compass now, and then review it after your visit? To add it, just follow this link: http://www.beerpal.com/compass/retailers.asp?lookin=&sa=middle+ages&country= Look for the "add a retailer" button in the upper left-center part of the screen. Copy the admin info from the vault's listing on the brewery into the compass. Then, like I said, you can review it later. Thanks for helping to make this the best site around. Pubcrawler's cool, but we're mo'betta!

In the next couple months I hope to have the retailers and beer database linked. There are actually breweries in the Beer Compass that aren't in the beer database! The first thing we're doing is making sure each listing in the Beer Compass is also in the beer database and assigning the ID# to it so that the databases can communicate to each other. There are 435 left to do. Once that's done, we'll know exactly which breweries from the beer database are not in the beer compass and be able to automatically add them. My goal is to consolidate all the brewery data between the beer compass and beer vault sections of the site. Right now they don't always match and it's a waste of time and server resources to list it all twice. It will take major reworking of the code, but eventually when you add a brewery to the site, it will appear in both the beer compass and the beer vault. Yay!

Hey guys, I am an idiot. Middle Ages is a brewery only. I didn't change it from Brewpub when I submitted it. Can someone fix it, or can you tell me who to email to have it corrected please? Sorry I am not very smart. Thanks.
