waffles

General Beer Discussion by AABREWER318

I just finished some Blueberry Porter waffles that i made. mmmm..... malty. Used some of this Blue Ridge Porter that i was drinkin. Not Bad, could have used more beer i think[:p] Next i want to try Belgian style waffles with maybe some Leffe added. Any recommendations on a relatively inexpensive Belgian blond with a lot of flavor i could use? Blueberry Porter Waffles 1 cup flour 2 eggs 1 tsp baking powder 1 TBsp sugar 1/4 cup veg oil 1/4 tsp salt 1/8 cup cream about 1/2 cup porter beer......drink remainder handfull of bluberries mix dry ingredients. add eggs, oil, cream and enough beer to make a thick batter. add berries. cook on waffle iron. serve with browned butter and maple syrup and another beer[8)] (i know its breakfast)

Never done porter waffles, but I've made stout pancakes which were pretty dang tasty, a hefe would likely work well, too.
