Getting paid to sample Utopias
Industry News by FOAMDOME
Hey, I like the new forum! Check out this story that aired on NPR today: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4651323 Michael Jackson on air, sampling Czechvar, Anchor Steam, Deus, Utopias, and more... I had the pleasure of listening to it twice during a lovely [}:)] two-hour ride home from work this evening. (It's only 30 miles.) Gotta love I-95 on Friday the 13th!

By the way, just found this in my email from Dave Alexander, proprietor at RFD Washington: "TODAY on WAMU 988.5FM on NPR's "All Things Considered" you can listen to a bi-continental beer tasting with our buddy Michael Jackson, who will be drinking his beers in London. I supplied the beers (and proper drinking vessels) for the drinkers on our side of the big puddle. Give a listen if work is boring you to tears. Cheerios and as always a please stay safe to all our buddies all over the world from BeerGuyDave"
Foamy!...OUT---FRIKKEN---STANDING!!!!.....I always wanted to hear MJ on the air....I can't find his videos anywhere, so this is the next best thing to his books!.....I appreciate your efforts posting this link!....I am not a real fan of NPR, but this I really like!!!...Muchos Gracias Amigo!!!! Oiz [:D]
You are certainly welcome, Oiz! Delighted to know that you enjoyed it. And, as we used to say back in Old Mexico City, "di nada!" One of the funniest moments was when co-host Michele Norris asks how much one of the beers costs, and Michael replies, "Funny, I wasn't aware that you could buy beer, it's been so long since I paid for any." Then Robert Siegel, the other co-host says, "I'm beginning to understand your choice of career." Yeah, nice work if you can get it!

Boy, I sure wish I could get it too, Foamy.....Thats my dream job, to be the next Mike Jackson (notice I said Mike)......Drinking beer for a living, oh man, can it get any better??...Maybe if that includes staring in a few porn movies, but that's about it!.... Oiz
Do you have a GS turbo regal? If not what engine, and where did you time it? My ole 89 5.0 was super fun, but as you noted "built to a price". Still bang for the buck they are super. Damn sure glad I got my Si Civic, holds 28 cases of bier maxed out and gets 29 mpg at 90 with that load. One person 90, 34 or better. After living here I will never complain about gas prices again till they hit Euro levels!
