We are a unique family-owned Meadery located in a small town in California's northern Sierra Nevada Mountains. We specialize in Meads and fruit wines made with honey, and have been in commercial production since 1996. We produce our Meads from scratch, using premium honeys and local mountain spring water. Imagine a wine made from the nectar of wildflowers and mountain spring water. Known in olden times as 'Nectar of the Gods', Mead is a delicious natural wine made from honey. Mountain Meadows Mead is a unique, award-winning micro-winery located in the northern Sierra in Westwood, California. We specialize in Meads and fruit wines made with honey. Our Meads are made from wildflower honey from Surprise Valley - in the far Northeastern Corner of California, and with our local mountain spring water. Our fruit wines are fermented from fresh fruit and honey. Our Cranberry Mead is made from cranberries grown on the Oregon Coast, and our Agave Mead is made from honey and Organic Blue Agave Nectar from Old Mexico.
