The Château de Sassy, Xavier's family home, sits in the heart of Normandy, where cider is a key part of life. The tradition of producing cider and calvados has been enjoyed the SASSY family for generations. SASSY, it's a story of two childhood friends with the same passion - Cider. SASSY endeavours to bring the traditions of Normandy to a modern and international audience. Xavier and Pierre-Emmanuel learned to appreciate the true taste of cider, having grown up with cider as an integral part of Norman life. SASSY was born out of this childhood passion and desire to put Normandy back on the map. SASSY cider puts a modern spin on a wonderful Norman tradition. OUR EXPERTISE In order to develop an innovative product, Xavier and Pierre-Emmanuel teamed up with a local producer and a cellar master, who helped develop recipes inspired by the cider served at Château de Sassy. The two friends looked at current trends from drinks brands across the globe to guarantee their ciders would work for the modern palate. More freshness, lightness and finesse, to obtain a refined and balanced range that will have people gagging for another. The translation of SASSY into English gives us our brand. Cheeky, lively and spirited is exactly how we want to describe our ciders. There are now more occasions and places to enjoy cider.
