Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9
Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a fairly clear derp copper body that supports a nice lasting tan head of foam that leaves. The aroma offers up inviting clouds of molasses, plums, dates and a thin fig like note. The flavor is assessed as it's still too cold. Why is that always a problem. It starts nice though with smooth slick sweet maltiness, plumes, figs and a faintly tangyand spicy date sensation. It picks up sweet hits of molasses and caramel as it finally warms up some. The ABV isn't that high but it is well hidden nonetheless. Solid English Barleywine.

Pours hazy caramel with a thin eggshell head. Aroma presents boozy, toasted malt, caramel and subtle fruity notes. Flavor gives sharp toasted malt, boozy, caramel, slight fruity and woody tones. Texture provides good body and lively fizz. Stand and deliver!
