Black Rose is a Brett beer with blackberries and rosemary– ready right in time for Cupid’s horror. To some, a black rose might symbolize the death of a relationship or idea. We believe the black rose represents rebirth or the beginning of something new. With that, and this brett beer’s fruit additions– let’s raise a glass and share a toast to new beginnings!

My sample fizzed a fair bit, so have a towel handy. Pours hazy caramel with a thick, though not long-lasting, buff head. Aroma gives up rosemary, tart berry - and is that ginger? Flavor provides rosemary, bitter woody hops and tart blackberry, but no ginger. Maybe that was an olfactory illusion. Texture yields so-so body but peppy fizz. Rose is a rose is a beer.
