A pale bitter with a pronounced maltiness offset by a delicate hop flavour. Cockfighting was one of the "sports" in the church yard giving rise to the "wicked" epithet. An area on the outskirts of the village, Hathern Turn near the King's Arms, was the scene of many challenge contests and Daniel Lambert undoubtedly visited here before he reached his legendary weight of 53 stones.

Bottle conditioned (4.5% abv) from Hathern Post Office. Amber coloured with a slim, somewhat scummy off-white head. Hoppy and bready aroma. Flavours are fruity, nutty and malty with a nice light hoppy bitterness. Light to medium mouthfeel with light carbonation. It’s not perfect but I like it.
