The barley wine style frightens many with its legendary heft both in body and in content of alcohol. Not to worry with our offering (an Aaron Mateychuk creation) a fairly low alcohol level is balanced by a firm, malt biased body that aims to tease the palate with forgotten flavor memories; all pleasant. Have it with dessert; allow it to be your dessert. Caramel, tiramisu and penuche flavors step out front, but that is merely the precursor to an abyss of flavor sensation. A rich reward to all who order this lovingly conditioned ale (8 months and counting.)

Poured a muddy brown color with no head or lacing (perhaps it was my snifter?). Aroma of cognac, caramel malts, toffee, smoke, dried fruits, and some citrus hoppiness. Taste of lots of toffee and chewy caramel malt, citrus, and dried fruits as well, some hoppiness, and faint alcohol as well in the finish.
