Tasted on tap at the 8th Annual Triple Rock Firkin Fest on 4/9/2011. This Barley wine pours a medium red amber color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, toffee, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied Barley wine. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Hides the alcohol well. A nice sipping beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

a bit of a hop bomb of a barleywine, though large amounts of caramel and toffee are evident as well. medium bodied for the style. red in color. pretty good beer with a bittersweet finish.
