Pint can pours with a clear dark mahogany colored body that supports a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up malts heading into a modest degree of caramel malts rimmed thinly with prunes and stewed cherries. The taste delivers similar notes creating a pleasing blend of full sweet maltiness, a few ribbons of kettle caramelization and a touch of toffee. Competing with the malts are sweet dark fruity esters like prunes, a bit of dates and a thin molasses drizzled cherry like sensation. It ends innocently enough with a fading malty and estery fruitiness as well as a drying mild booziness. Simple sipper that gets the job done.
