Sour Asylum #10 Basileus [bey-zuhl aye us] which is Greek for king, is a lacto-fermented sour ale brewed with 100% pilsner malt and finished with fresh basil and cucumber. The sour tartness coupled with the clean and refreshing flavors of basil and cucumber make this beer a perfect companion for these last humid days of summer.

Pours pale yellow with a thin eggshell head. Aroma delivers tart fruit and a little malt. Perky flavor offers more fruit and a hint of fruity bitterness. Body leaves a little to be desired, but effervescence is good and tart finish is pleasing. Take asylum.
