Big review night with the local Brew Crew: 18 different beers with barbecue, delicious desserts, and good company. I brought this because it was a Scottish ale I hadn't tried and I liked the label. The color was quite orange with some haze, the head small and fine. The aroma had some licorice to it, but some other herbs and maybe camphor or eucalyptus as well? It did not smell like a Scot, and it didn't taste like one, either. Bitter, no balancing sweetness, camphor. Just wrong. Don't judge a book by its cover.
