We made this beer specifically for bourbon barrels. The result is our most acclaimed bourbon barrel beer. Bourbon barrel aging and specialty malts create flavors of vanilla and carmel that blend in perfect balance.

A local favorite, almost always on tap at the tasting room, and now being bottled. Big and bold Wee Heavy from the dogs containing a huge bourbon influence. Rich and peaty with dark berries and fruits and a great earthiness. Very malt dominate backed up by lots of bourbon. Full bodied, smooth and warming. Awesome local treat!

A perfect beer for a whiskey barrel, the sweetness of the wee heavy pairs quite well with the vanilla notes and whiskey burn. The nose is bourbon, vanilla, and sweet cream. The head begins fizzy but settles into a nice thin froth. A really well made beer from thirst dog, right up there with my favorite wee heavies, Alesmith and Wallace. Big thanks to the king of oHIo for this gem!
