Pours a nice mahogany with reddish amber hues and tan head. The aroma is tart, cherry fruit, a bit of lemon peel, yeasty tartness and a sense of moldy citrus. The taste is tart and a bit crushed aspirin and lemon acidity with faint sweet fruity cherry notes in the background. 7 4 7 4 13
Another go-round courtesy of Sparky. Pours clear amber with light tan head. The aroma is full with cherries, prunes, spicy notes and cranberry infused molasses. The taste starts a bit sharp with cranberry, pomegranate tartness and with cherries and sweet malts in the background. Nice and pleasingly not over the top tart.Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9

Solid mild sour by Surly. Pours a cola brown with a fizzy head and spotty lacing. Nice rich fruity aroma with a soft twang. The tartness is fairly calm and it's medium bodied with some malt backing. A touch of Belgian yeast influence and fermented dark fruits with a vinous aftertaste.

Starts out looking great, deep clear brown with a purple tinge, lots of thick head. Head fizzes away in about 10 seconds and then the purple brown is kind of out of place and childlike. The aroma is grape bubble gum. Flavor starts off good and pungeant but its short lived and finishes dry and flavorless. Mouthfeel is thin and watery, not at all worth the price. Like a terrible attempt at NB la follie.

Shared bottle, RBNAG 2011 in Oslo. Dark brown colour. Sourish aroma and flavour, farmhouse notes, lemony and gueuze-like despite the darker colour.
