Wee Mac is a Scottish style Brown Ale. Fermented at cooler than normal temperatures to mimic the climate of Scotland. Wee Mac is an easy drinking brown ale that has a nice hazelnut character with rich toffee undertones. Hops are used sparingly in this beer and serve only to help balance the sweetness of the malt.

Pours translucent chocolate with a fair buff head that leaves good lacing. Aroma offers roast malt, cloves, caramel and subtle chocolate notes. Flavor yields roast malt, earthy, nutty, caramel and shy chocolate tones. Texture provides fairly firm body and peppy fizz. Get your wee Scottish on!

I love me some scotch ale when the weather starts to turn, and while this is a nice enough brew, a wee heavy it is not. 5.4%, and you can tell. Slight earthy hops, dark fruit, caramel, and maaaaybe a hint of peat. Pretty good, but I was hoping for a standout.
