Rated April 2018. 500mL bottle pours with a deep oily black void of a body that supports a thin short lived mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted coffee, reduced sugars, smooth bourbon, some booze and then a bit of coconut and chocolate. The taste delivers smooth slick rich sweetened dark roasted coffee blending into chocolate and bourbon. Behind those notes is a thin layer of coconut, molasses and booze. This is a terrific sipper.

Had a rather long and large tasting last night, but started with this as I wanted to have this awesomeness before anything else touched my palate. That we followed it up with a very good (and lower abv) Eclipse showed us in hindsight just how well the 14% abv was hidden under the gigantic waves of coffee, bourbon, chocolate and roast. Pretty much everything I hoped it would be. VERY KBS like, maybe a touch thicker. Smooth as hell. Pretty sure this had to have had a 2nd coffee treatment as it 9or after it) sat in bourbon barrels because it's even more cofee-riffic than the Espresso IRS was fresh 15 months ago. Awesome awesome awesome!!!
