22oz bomber pours with a nice deep dark body that supports an attractive dark tan head of foam. The aroma jumps at you with pleasing levels of deep dark chocolate that has an earthy chocolate edge to it as well as lighter notes of molasses, smooth soft faint bourbon, caramel covered oak and then a malty sweet nuttiness. The taste starts smooth and slick and then quickly the booze and bourbon add a bit of sharpness to the experience just as the palate begins to take in the velvety chocolate going on here. To midway the chocolate begins to blend with malts, a growing yet modest nuttiness and a thin molasses note as the booze and bourbon notes fade into the background. The chocolate is forefront and yummy and just rides above the booze and bourbon notes. Great sipper and at a terrific price . . . sweet baby jesus!!

22oz bottle picked up at Texas Liquor in Carlsbad
Pours a thick black, small tan head, some light lacing. Aroma of bourbon, woody and chocolate. Taste of roasted malts, bourbon, woody, leather and coffee
A nice Imp stout. This is a big beer, but pretty easy drinking.
