The Southern Woodpile is a series of unique beers aged in oak barrels with a variety of native yeasts, bacteria, fruits, and herbs. Engaging with the local community and surrounding landscape, we aspire to provide a taste of the surroundings. Aged in Georgia’s first oak foeder with a mix of native yeast and bacteria, this beer is our interpretation of a Southern Wild Ale. Refreshingly tart, slightly funky, with a light minerality and dry finish. Nuanced, delicate, and balanced.

    Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

Pours slightly hazy golden with a thin eggshell head. Aroma features crisp, tart pear and apple, not much else. Flavor delivers tart pomme fruit and more than a hint of fresh malt. Mouthfeel presents OK fizz and body. Head for the woodpile, and watch for - whoops, I AIN’T gonna use THAT word!
