Tasted at the 4th Annual Bistro Barrel Aged Beer Fest on 11/14/2009. This scotch ale pours a medium to light brown color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is malt, peat, fruity and sweet, with a touch of tea and wood. A medium bodied Scotch Ale. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. A touch of tea and some wood. Touch of peat. Nice carbonation. Very smooth taste. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
