Winter Welcome Ale – Platinum Jubilee Edition 2022-2023 The collectable label on Winter Welcome Ale this year celebrates the platinum jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. For the occasion, the foil on the bottle has turned platinum and the central design features a painting by our label artist of the Imperial State Crown – which is the crown worn by the monarch when leaving Westminster Abbey after the coronation. This seasonal beer is a limited edition brewed for the short days and long nights of winter. The full body resulting from fermentation in ‘stone Yorkshire squares’ and the luxurious malt character, which will appeal to a broad range of drinkers, is balanced against whole-dried Fuggle and Golding hops with nuances and complexities that should be contemplated before an open fire

Pours clear raw umber with a thick and fairly persistent buff head. Aroma offers caramel, toasted malt, winter spices, a hint of wood. Flavor delivers caramel, toasted malt, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and woody tones. Texture brings decent smooth body and peppy fizz. Bring the jubilee beer.
