Pours a clear copper with a thick buff head that leaves generous lacing. Malty aroma has notes of caramel and cloves. Spice - cloves and a little cinnamon - dominate the flavor, but let through malty and caramel notes. Texture is about average, but still acceptable. Get your brick on with a good red ale!

Enjoyed a pint on tap in Boston (if I understand correctly, this beer is only available in Boston and tap only). After several IPAs, this really hit the spot--nothing in particular stands out but it is a nice, slightly sweet malty beer that is the perfect antithesis for an over-hopped drinking session.

Off the tap in Boston... deep red color eith a thin head, sweet malty aroma and flavor. Medium to full bodied. Sweet, thick finish. Nice on cooler weather. Would be a bit much in 100-degreethe heat.
